Help Sold account and got scammed

I sold my account https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=471336  and the guy who bought it refuses to pay me, he owes me $250 in btc.  

Can someone please help me get my account back or something. or please kick this guy off my account.

Edit: I didn't know account selling was frowned upon, why are people taking accounts as collateral in the lending section?

I'm leaving the btc world because of the crashing prices and constant stress it's causing me.

Got any proof that you tried to sell the account?  It certainly looks like it, based on the password and e-mail change but I'd like to see PMs or whatever you have before tagging the account.

This may be tough, as The conversation we had was on the account I sold and  also through the original e-mail which I also gave to the buyer when he purchased the account.

It's not only buyers that I tag, but I want to see some proof before tagging anyone.  75% of me doesn't doubt that what OP says is true, but it would be such an easy thing to make something up for revenge or whatever.  OP deserves a neg in either case, I think, even though it's obviously a throwaway account.

Edit:  There's enough reasonable suspicion about this, so I tagged the account.  If he comes here and presents a strong counter-argument, I'll remove the tag.

Account selling is not prohibited but it's discouraged. I don't think this thread also belongs to Meta since you're already posted "Scam accusation" board too.

Why are you sold your reputation in the forum for just 250$ in the first place? I also Agreed with "Pharmacist" there's nothing to this matter with other members.

Honestly, other than the account getting tagged so members here know I could care less that you receive assistance.

I believe an Admin maybe a MOD, can review the messages on the account, even if they were deleted to validate the claim.

Seeing as there are many honest members on the Forum waiting to recover their hacked accounts, you have 0 chance of getting it back anytime soon.

Lol.. account sale is not a good practice. Are you account farmer ? Why you sold your account ? Why you handover your accout without payment ? There is no chance to recover account if you can't show solid proof. Account has  changed email & password recently but it doesn't mean you are the owner of account. Did you signed msg with btc address? If yes prove that account is your.

That means you bought account. Now your account is useless. More DT will tag you sure. Who is  the orginal owner it's not important. It's true that you bought account.  If you proved OP is wrong it dose'nt mean you will not taged.

Gekko463 have argument about ownership of account. Already he have given his own statement. It's well proven that he bought account from some one. So no question  to remove tag. More DT should be tag him for bought account. I have archived as a proof of his statement.

How it came to light that the account has changed hands will not matter .

To the community this is equivalent to identity theft/fraudulent representation. Regardless of the outcome the account will remain tagged in red to warn others it has changed hands.

In other words, you sent your proof to me via PM.  Looking at it, it definitely does look like both sides held up their end of the bargain.  That doesn't change the fact that you bought the account, so my feedback is going to stay.  I don't support account buyers or sellers here, which is something everyone here should know.  I've been tagging account buyers & sellers since 2016, which tells me that you don't do any reading here and only want to earn money. 

I don't know why the account seller decided to make this claim, but it doesn't really change much.  I'd love to know if he's got any alt accounts here, though.

I call it "Instant Karma". You don`t care about the forum, but about getting your money. Well, maybe you should think about before selling your account in here, and give up your name for a couple of hundred bucks.

Anyway, both deserve being red-tagged: the OP for being an idiot and coming here to complain about being scammed while doing something that is already discouraged; the second for an account buyer, whose only goal is to earn here by spamming the forum.

That actually sounds reasonable to me, although I don't exactly have my finger on the pulse of the account sales market.  The reason why it'd cost so much for a Sr. Member account is that it now takes forever for someone--and usually an illiterate, spamming account farmer--to rank up that far.  For most morons who sell accounts chronically, I don't think they'd even be able to nowadays without resorting to merit-dealing, and they'd risk getting tagged for that.

The poor kid who bought it I only know as John Doe from the BitDice Telegram.  I transferred him the account because I really wasn’t using it anymore and he asked about it on the BitDice Telegram.  He duly paid me 6000 CSNO for it, which was on that day worth about $340, or the price of one ETH that day, which is what we settled on.

He is really upset that you marked my former account as a “scam” account. 

He is just a poor 3rd world kid trying to feed his family with entrepreneurship.  Being an old guy, I had no idea this was wrong.  I see the kids doing it all the time.  But your discretion and limitless power over him has now rendered the account worthless.  I don’t want to see him ripped off, but I also now would have a damaged account if I took it back by invoking the change of password email.  We will both be left with nothing, and it is the fault of a genuine scammer and...you.

Marketing on Bitcointalk is a "thing".  The whole place is set up for that.  Even you seem to have advertisements in your own signature here for "Chipmixer".  Why deny this ability to kids just starting out, willing to pay market price for prime real-estate?

I went to that site the night we were discussing this, entered the web address for my account, and it returned an value of 0.115941375 BTC.  This is all documented on the BitDice Telegram.  That is where we began negotiations.

That is the only way anyone outside of your Mod staff could have known that the Gekko463 (my birthday is April 1963) may have been up for sale.

So I am asking you what YOU think is the moral thing to do here.

1.  Do you think I should give him back the 6000 CSNO and invoke the email to get the account back?  The account has “SCAMMER” plastered all over it now.

2.  Do you think you could find it in your heart to remove that red badge of shame and let the kid get on with his entrepreneurial dreams?

I hope you can use the information I have given you to easily recognize the next 100 times that the person behind “Gekko Star” uses his “valuation” website to try to scam YOU and your mod team into turning great accounts over to him.

Give them their money back.

Accept that the account will have neg trust because who knows when it may switch hands again.

Explain to this poor young soul that this isn't a Full-time job.

You may think that you were helping out. Have you considered that this user may use your profile and rank to cheat or swindle someone? Would you repay them if that happened?

Maybe think about how someone who is only on this forum to earn a paycheck with this "entrepreneurial" dream is bad for the community as they bring nothing of value to the space and will dilute it with garbage spam posts.
