I do not believe that fiat money will collapse, because fiat money is used without technology, without smartphones or computers, and without internet. So using fiat money is as easy as turning your palm. However, using crypto money requires a digital device and internet connection. If there is no internet signal somewhere, crypto money cannot be used.

It will not going to happen. US dollars has proven already throughout the history as a currency but bitcoin is only a starter. Fiat money is a fraud that needs to be eradicated, in order for you to get that fiat you need to work long hours in a job that most people do not like and do not find enjoyable, in theory the government gets your taxes and uses those taxes as effectively as they can, I do not have too much of a problem with that because they are getting that money to perform a job which is the same process in which you get your money, but with fiat they can also print as much money as they want whenever they want and in the process they are stealing from all the population at the same time.

If you did that you will go to jail for counterfeiting, so we need a currency that cannot be printed at will and a combination of precious metals and cryptocurrencies seems like the best choice.

Years back they changed the European currencies for the EURO. For the same reasons you mention, improve the economy, simplify. What did it do? decreased the EU economy, increased poverty, decreased household income. ect. A lot of countries now are thinking about ti leave the EU
