I had a look at the bit coin foundation web page. The picture of Mt.Gox CEO has been deleted from the advisory board (he resigned yesterday), but no official statement about his resignation and the dead of Mt.Gox
There is one join statement of the remaining major Bitcoin trade companies in The Coinbase Blog

Of coz u normally wud think that a problems had to be solved within 24h when u driving a website with a few clicks a day....

Also i recieved money cashed out 11 Jan and a answer to my request regardiing withdraw. Very soon its says. For the first time i see light on the end tunnel. Hope its not again the oncoming traffic.

MT GOX plat form stop trading from 2 am (greenwich time)

just one hour ago!!!!

what happen???

no announcement issue for MTGOX website!!!

I would bet all my BTC to a pinch of shit that its a knee-jerk reaction to the "crisis strategy draft" that was uploaded to scribd

http://www.scribd.com/doc/209050732/MtGox-Situation-Crisis-Strategy-Draft

perhaps they feared an all out crash on the back of this??

cheers,
kev

Can anyone believe that all but 2000 Bitcoins have been stolen in a slow process over 3 years without anyone at MtGox noticing that there is a leak? I mean, they must have accessed their cold storage or at least check the addresses on Blockexplorer or Blockchain.info?

This document is a fake, IMHO.

I've never seen such a bullshit fake piece of shit document before in my life!

I know Gox sets the bar pretty high when it comes to incompetence, but even they wouldn't write this thing!

(BTW this doesn't mean anyone will get their funds back of course)

EDIT: sorry for the understatement there: "is an impossible act to follow when it comes to incompetence" is more accurate.

Latest update:

Quote
Dear MtGox Customers,

As there is a lot of speculation regarding MtGox and its future, I would like to use this opportunity to reassure everyone that I am still in Japan, and working very hard with the support of different parties to find a solution to our recent issues.

Furthermore I would like to kindly ask that people refrain from asking questions to our staff: they have been instructed not to give any response or information. Please visit this page for further announcements and updates.

Sincerely,
Mark Karpeles
