OK so how many people want to join forces to find Mark Karpeles and extract our money from him?
I have 10k USD to pool into a team to find him. I am serious.
Unless he fixes the website of course - then we'll just carry on as usual.

I am just saying - if he tries to do a runner with everyone's money - I will personally hunt him down. The more the better - if we pool resources, time, money we have better chance of finding him - if he tries to hide.

The only people who lost money on MtGox are people who like to take abuse. The only thing people will do when they find Mark is bend over and ask for more.

I am quite impressed he hasn't done a runner already. There are some lovely French speaking tropical destinations and some lovely laws that prevent anyone extraditing French nationals.

wouldn't it be more sensible to try to work out who stole the bitcoins from Gox and to **** them up?
Bitcoin is not that anonymous. It ought to be possible to identify addresses which have a significant volume of same size repeated transactions withdrawing from the gox wallet, all the transactions are there in the chain after all, and I suspect that anyone with the financial resources to take over gox at this point will have the resources to identify the owners of those addresses.
