We must oppose ICO fraud and this is indeed difficult to detect. Some ways to avoid this are by checking. We will look at the website and we check from the Team, the Whitepaper, and reach the sales token. Some of these ways we do and may benefit us all.

Apparently, ICO investors continue to fall prey to innumerable ICO scam. The effect of this is very devastating on investors perception of crypto-project ICOs. While it appears there is no apparent solution to address the current scam associated with ICO in the crypto space. I propose that we help each other in finding out the best ways to identify and separate genuine ICO from fake ones.... Share your view and help a friend from falling prey to ICO scam. Let help build a healthy crypto environment. Fight the scam now.
The reason why scam cannot end or people continue to fall for it is lack of orientation. There should be better education on cryptocurrency investing. New comers in particular need to be informed of this dark side of ICOs.

You cannot avoid scam ICO nowadays because most of the scam ICO's are good in start and when they collect enough funds in their so called project , they suddenly leave their project and their investors . But if you want to know a good ICO qnd scam ICO you must have the knowledge in finding and research for the right one to invest.

Take a look and lot of read about the project, get also some honest review so you'll find what is something strange about the project. It would be better if you'll take choose a project with legit device team working with expertise. I've learned that only those project who has active team has the possible potential. Currently I am.lookint at Hodler wallet and fortunately it shows development from time to time.

I believe there is no specific rules about avoiding scam, what we can do is filter those scam project manually and carefully. But that doesn't guaranty that we will be able to fully avoid on getting scammed. That step will just reduce the possibilities of being scammed.

It will be difficult to avoid fraudulent ICO projects, because once they hide it, it is difficult to recognize. I think the law needs to have stricter regulations on ICO to protect investors

Stop investing on any of the ICO projects because most of them where are not giving any profits to the investors even if they are legit so don't risk too much just invest on the altcoins and take your profits whatever its comes from the altcoin or bitcoins investment.

ICO fraud is indeed a very detrimental thing for everyone. And I think if there are institutions that can be trusted to carry out fake ICO audits. Of course, this will be very helpful for investors and bounty hunters. And what you will do must go through a lot of consideration and research.

I still find myself not trusting ICOs due to past experience ,they easily break and you end up losing your money its just better to invest in popular coins instead of investing in new iICOs and 99% of the new ones are just scams ,but to spot the right ones are even harder so luck is all that remains

Try to analyse the project and follow the famous crypto guys. I trust them more than unknown people. But really, you never know where scammers are.

Do the research and talk to the team, ask questions. See their business plan, if the product even has a market and need etc.
Unfortunately, today we cannot be sure of any of the ICO projects that are emerging. The fraudsters are very creative and have learned how to prepare good documents and bypass sharp corners when working with investors. Therefore, I place almost the only hope for restoring order in this type of ICO activity to government regulation. It is government agencies that are able to quickly restore order here, protecting the rights of investors and bounty hunters.

More projects in the ICO. Some projects reach the gole and some projects go down. So before join the project. Just check the project information and white sheet. Then easy to understand the project. Then easy to choose and invest. It good opportunity for future growth. But some projects token hit the high price. So choose the best project and hold the token. Wait for the price increase. Then sell or exchange it.

Just make a deep research about the ico. Most important is the background of the team members.

In some cases, blockchain companies set to do an ICO will crowdsource not just funding but also technology development. "The worst thing I've seen at a decent event was a Nordic startup that actually did have a decent experienced team. Many enthusiastic fraudsters see ICOs as a an easy way to raise money. There is no need to actually have a product or report to anyone. Crowdfunding through an ICO has no real liabilities like a kind of utopia,

It is very easy to avoid fraud in new offers. It is only necessary not to participate in them. At the moment, 99% of new projects are falling dramatically in price.

It is very difficult to identify whether an ICO project is a scam. First, you must track the activity information of the team members, and you can keep abreast of the latest developments of the project.

To be honest, there is no fool proof way to avoid ico scams. Having said that most icos are not scams but rather just not very good business cases. You have quite a high chance of losing all your money on an ICO even if it is not a scam. But to avoid those which are scams you need to do as much due dilligence as possible - look at the white paper, check out the team and what they have done before and ask yourself do they seem capable of doing what they set out in their whitepaper according to the timescales of their roadmap.

Scammers also do not stand still and very often improve their skills, so it is difficult to be completely confident in almost any ICO!
