Bitcoin is truly a treasure for someone who achieved even a single piece of it. Its value transcends that of a precious gold dust, proven that most people spend most of their time and effort to gain one bitcoin atleast. One can say that a bitcoin can replace everything; from salary, currency and that of a treasure. A country with its citizen having much reserve of bitcoins can be a powerful economic advantage.
Can we consider bitcoins as national treasure of a country comsidering its economic significance?
bitcoin has the value people are willing to give it. Same goes with other assets and commodities. I'm sure nations will embrace bitcoin very soon even for national reserves etc

Yes, Bitcoin can be a national asset. Bitcoin can be a big part of our economy and it can enrich itself. But the country's government will have a major role in it because bitcoin will have to give legitimacy to the country. Then Bitcoin may one day be the national asset.

This can be because Bitcoin easily makes the price move and has full control over the money. And it provides a high level security. So it might be a national treasure.

For now Bitcoin has such high dominance and does not have any competition, but near future, i believe altcoin such as Ether, Neo, Eos can give bitcoin hard time, as they rapidly improving their tech and transaction, however, ETH can easily take over bitcoin if they are doing properly for soon future.

Of course, that is possible, but the condition is that its price must be stable, so it can not be implemented right now. Bitcoin is high priced, can be traded quickly, convenient and safe. However it does not have real value, I think we should consider this issue to call it a national treasure.

Bitcoin is an economic investment strategy. For technologically advanced countries, that is very potent. Can be considered as an important factor in the development of the country.

Bitcoin doesn't belong to any one nation so it can never be a "national" treasure. Right. It's an INTERnational treasure because its price doesn't vary by country. Its price is all the same around the globe. But it IS a treasure and it will soon change a lot in this world Sure. International or Global. But I believe, despite rumors, many governments are interested in adopting BTC because it might help them in many ways, so they might see it as treasure, but with global turnover and international prices it is still more international than national, of course. Its nice to see a little sense in this thread, bitcoin belong to users, and users are all of us. I need to correct the guy in the middle, bitcoin doesn`t have same price around the globe, prices vary greatly depending on the country in which the exchange is located. You have one price in US, another in EU, and in Asia price of bitcoin is always a bit higher, I don`t know why, even that is explained here on forum by some people I`m not convinced they are right about that. Bitcoin can be treasure for anyone who collect it investing in it, it can be a single man or country. That's why countries can't own it for themselves. They'll want to make it their own "national treasure" but it cannot function in that way. It is an international treasure for all who want to participate, regardless of background or financial standing. There are virtually no boundaries for entry and anyone can invest whatever they want. This is true democracy in money, where the asset is decentralized and uncontrolled. It allows us, the people, to take it and use it as we please, without having to deal with fees or limitations.

It's possible bitcoin will be a national treasure with many holders unlike gold, diamond, paint with a little amount of holders and owner.
the possibility is of course there is, because we live that does not always stop on the road, there must be a bitter journey and a bitter one, like now we are experiencing a bitter journey, but we still have to enjoy this trip.

Yes, Bitcoin can be considered a national treasure because it does not have inflation.
Yes I agree that it is considered a treasure but not only national. It could be an international.

bitcoin is primarily a speculative investment, whose soaring price has been compared to a bubble. in Venezuela, where inflation topped 2,616 percent last year, cryptocurrency is a way around restrictions on holding foreign currency, and in some cases, a means of survival. That’s made Venezuela an interesting laboratory for cryptocurrency serving as both a real currency and a viable means of storing value.

Bitcoin is our common pride, because it does not belong to anyone one or any one country. We promote bitcoin ourselves, we support it with our faith and our constant investments. I'm happy to be involved.

Bitcoin indeed is a treasure and a country with lot of its citizens investing in it will really have a good economic backbone. However it’s value fluctuations and the acceptance of it by the government of the country may be a problem but I believe it will work in the future.

Bitcoin is a unique phenomenon that is designed to change the world for the better. It is like nothing and is unlikely to be invented something better than it (at least in the near future). Therefore, it can really be our common heritage.

It might be or it can be considered as one if the assurance for its existence will be locked into the future generation because if it will just be used up meaning if it will disappear in the span of time, then how can we call such thing that does not exist anymore? Well, I believe that Bitcoin can stand up into its survival for the next years to come.
