What happened to all the posts written by various members in this thread?: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48498.0

Why were some of those posts now on this thread with the original post deleted?: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48633.0

It's currently locked, and I didn't lock it.

I think somebody is fuckin' around the back door.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Things were revealed, I seen posts in that thread deleted, vanished, but the text I read cannot be erased.

Luckily I don't give a shit enough regarding the things that were said, seems like something is going on in the background regarding whatever it is that is gone.    But because I know you like clues, I give you this

I believe mods have the ability to move individual posts around.  If they see what they feel is two topics going on in one thread, I have seen them split and merge discussions before, probably no different here, just at an odd point for it to happen in that thread, especially with the posts that were deleted that I done seen before they were deleted.

If that's the case, why move it to one of my old threads, deleting all those posts by members here, then locking it down?

Is it my fuckin' imagination or did this thread just get moved? Hacking this forum does not merit being on Bitcoin Discussion?

No, it doesn't. And it wasn't hacking, just mods doing their job.

Bitcoin Discussion is discussion related to Bitcoin. Meta is discussion related to the forum.

Makes sense. But why are two unrelated tropics merged, deleting many original posts, then locking it down?

Because they were all OFF-TOPIC.

Also, new drama-- I think Atlas was banned. I don't think he left of his own accord.

If you take that in to account, reading https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48646.0 makes so much more sense, no?

Interesting thread you quoted there! Let's hope he ain't buying any fertilizer over at the Goergetown CO-OP. That boy proved to be not right. BTW, what reason for him getting ban? Did he do something wrong?

It's just a theory but I'd imagine all his nonsense could have eventually bothered even the mods.

As far as I know he wasn't banned.

I split off that thread because it was all off-topic. Unfortunately, that split didn't really keep a common theme, so I locked it until/unless another mod wants to take the time to sort it. Normally, I would just delete that stuff, but there was so much of it that I didn't feel I should, hence the split-lock.

Thank you, Maged for the explanation. You did what you had to do. I truly appreciate the valuable time you and the other mods put forth here.

Maged works too hard.  I can pull up the majority of the forums that talk shit about modding this and that, but Maged is usually fair and on top of shit.

Now that tysat person, I think he might have been the one to do Atlas in.
Kidding

All I know is some juicy Bitcoin gossip is going on, and it will most likely be included in the Bitcoin Video Game https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48088.msg579028#msg579028 :p
