The whole market is going down. Any particular reason for that?

ETF is the reason however it also means that the support is not strong much, so we are not still ready for the next run. Particular reasons are just like starter.

The argument that starting bitcoin futures contracts on 12/17/2017 explains the ramp up to and decline from that date seems sound.  Just look at bitcoin on the 3 day scale of bitcoinwisdom.  This July pump and August dump seems clear.

Money is essentially going out rather than in.  Are miners always harvesting then immediately cashing in?  Wonder what fraction of trading that volume accounts for.

But, why would the ETF (whatever that is) cause an increase in bitcoin market cap if money is going out not in?

If the fiat financial world looks at cryptocurrency as a cash cow that can be milked with programs and schemes presently in use in the fiat financial world, then an ETF will just make matters worse.

I have also been able to gather some information that, the price usually goes with the trend, it can go up or it can go down regards of the news. - I saw that it usually takes up to 3–5 days for bad news or good news to influence the market.

If you would check the news now you would see how many countries are trying to regulate and embrace blockchain technology. - More and more projects are starting to get built on Ethereum because it’s the most secure and reliable to use - Venezuela issued its first oil backed cryptocurrency on Ethereum (Petro Dollar).

Obviously, the news and speculations of cryptocurrency is actually affecting the market price and that is the reason why you should always invest every time the market prices are dropping.

Hoping for the better future,we can do nothing more than that because we don't find any reasins why the prices were going down again after that $2000 bump maybe due to ETF's speculation but now the prices falling more than how much it was before.But we still we have some ETF applications for the approval so it maybe give good bump again soon in some days.

If it drops below I think people turn to USD for backup. Bad situations can happen to the market. However, when it stabilizes, we buy again to continue the journey in this market. The future has more interesting things awaiting us.

Any fundamentals or news do really have that effect into the entire market. We do even hit up below 6k usd on bitcoins price but it seems it stand strong on that area 5900-6000 which do have a strong support but theres still a tendency that we would hit up 5.5 or even 3k which there are rumors that this would be the best price for institutional funds to set it but well its just a speculation.
For now we can do anything with this decline but I do somehow glad that bitcoins price is starts to cling up once again.

I believe this is the great tree shake and they are using ETF as the tool to shake the tree.  I believe the big boys are getting in and they want cheap prices.  I think later in the year things will turn.  All depends on how long it take them to load up.

It's better to be a trader than a hodler currently. The prices are just falling so it's better to buy at extremely low and sell even if there is just one percent increment in price. You can earn some profit still

There is no particular reason in the current decline all talking about speculation the ETF made the mindset of most new people to be disturbed and after delaying their decision directly to lift all the money in crypto, I just thought this was panic most people have a game in this situation is to reduce prices lower, yes that might happen with this crypto free market, that news is a very good medium to emphasize most people are pressing to sell assets owned, no matter what happens at the moment but buy more at the cheapest price is a very good thing and maybe for next year it will be very good compared to the current year.

What you need to do to avoid it, is to learn how to save money for the times like that. Everything was inflated last year.

It might take up to 2 years for GOOD crypto currencies to get back to the same price levels.

Bad crypto currencies will continue to go down until they die.

Only buy altcoins if you believe in the team and technology enough that you are willing to see the money go bye bye.

It's summer.Most crypto traders(or atleast the big ones) are on vacation.This decreases the daily market demand,while the supply stays the same,because the small and frustrated sellers keep selling to get out of the markets with loss,instead of just relax and enjoy the summer.

Having effect of ETF over whole market seems to me little off the track. It has some effect but not on the whole market. ETH is dropping ? Yes, it has gone wild these days and somehow people are not supporting it at all. I am suspecting this has got to do something with the transaction slowness of ETH as compared to other currencies. With the ever growing platforms ETH is not the only now now who is having great deal of characteristic. So you see it is all about market situation, ETH performance and much more.

The price of the ethereum is now really very low - $ 326. I do not think that ethereum was an overpriced coin. In comparison with bitcoin and the functions that it now performs, we can say that it is clearly pedo-valuable. Before a significant increase in the price, which is most likely already in the fall, it should float in value. This is not particularly affected by anything.

Market downfall is a big failure to cryptocurreny. Investors of cryptocurrency will sell their coins just to return there capital. Some of them will panic. It is like a domino effects that the will a affect investment to the end. But the trends of the the market today for me is just normal. No need to be panic. This is also what happen last year. I am very hopeful that it will pump for the last quarter of the year.

I think some big investors just manipulate the market in summer time. I have seen the same in stock market before. They just create panic in the market and buy at low price before the rally starts, which usually happens around october-november.

To guess the market right now is very difficult because prices continue to decline, but somehow I believe the market will increase slightly with prices falling as it is now, automatically if the price falls demand will increase. January 2019 I think prices will skyrocket again.

each bitcoin drop triggers something in the whole market. it acts as the fuse to light up the already excited altcoin market and that leads to big dumps that we have been seeing these days. the altcoins are currently going back down to their real prices and we may not see this market stabilized until they lose the fake prices that they have gained in the year 2017.
if you want a reason then you have to go back between 8 to 20 months and see the altcoin pumps that were happening then. that is the reason why we are seeing the drops right now.

The way I see it, crypto is going down because of its unpredictability. This is easy the market went down because the SEC postponed their decision about the ETF, when the date gets closer again the price will recover momentarily as well, but I think people need to stop thinking about this, the changes in the price will only apply for the short term and nothing more even if the decision is positive this is going to create a mini bubble that will eventually crash.
