There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

There are many alternatives of Bitcointalk like altcoinstalks, Bitcoingarden or your example Wink.
But bitcointalk forum is the biggest one, so why use the smaller one?

There were many such clones of bitcointalk forum but non existed long or significantly to get any traffic this site gets.
There are some forums with good traffic like cryptocurrencytalk.com which is not just a clone but most clones of bitcointalk like bitcoingarden have no future.

There are more alternative forum if you search in google. If I'm not mistaken there is altcoinstalks forum. This forum seems gaining some popularity as of now. Maybe one year or two years from now it will be next to bitcoin talk forum. There is potential in it. I suggest try to search and see for yourself if I'm talking correctly.

Why there is no shitcointalk forum? I think that it will be the best place for the 95% of bounty campaigns. I know that amazix has already moved to this forum.

No matter what happens, I'm always loyal to Bitcointalk. All I know about Cryptocurrency is from here, the first money I earn is from here. And more importantly, Bitcointalk is like my second home on the internet.

there are so many forum about cryptocurrency in the world.
i also see bitcoingarden and many more.
but bitcointalk is more popular and well managed with bounties.
one of the reason is, this is the forum used by Satoshi Nakamoto for bitcoin community.

I don't need to say a lot about that but i have seen a lot of copy cat of bitcoin talk so many times but you should remember satoshi as the creator of bitcoin who's the creator of this place, vitalik also came from this place. There was no reason to use shitty forum and it's just another garbage forum.

I checked it out and it seems to have a bit of activity even though its new.
It's definitely more easy on the eyes than bitcointalk.
bitcointalk's design and layout is so bland.

Unfortunately, when compared to bitcointalk's participation and community size, it just doesn't even come close at all.
On top of that, bitcointalk is the "official" place for companies to announce projects and launch programs.
It's not because it's better, no, it's just that bitcointalk has been around the longest and was the only place for the longest time.

It would be good to get more channels to get information and discuss crypto.
There isn't that much helpful stuff on here anymore.
Bitcointalk has become a place of spamming, shilling, promoting, and asking the same noob questions over and over.

so, I'll participate in moonforum to see where it goes.

One old, well known and reputed forum vs a brand new forum that no body has heard of. Who do you think is going to win? It obviously bitcointalk that will remain in top unless some disastrous event that will hurt the reputation of the forum occurs. The irony is that moonforum is using this forum to promote their forum which indirectly says that they admit this forum is well established and can help them to promote their platform.

I'm staying here with Bitcointalk.  This is by far the biggest and most knowledgeable board.  I have learned everything from day trading to mining right here on these forums.  I also like the bounty section as well.  Seems to be no reason to leave.

Perhaps Amaziks interested in the growth of the audience moonforum. I did not see there something special, for what it is worth to use it. Bitcointalk is good for me. Although something new should always appear, the crypto community is growing every day.

Yes i already visit the forum. seems like the forum has more features than bitcointalk.
But the bitcointalk is the forum which already have many peoples in community.
Moonforum need to gather the peoples into their community to become a great crypto forum.

As seen in most of the reply, ppl want to stick with Bitcoin talk and obviously there is a reason for that btk is the oldest forum since the beginning and have a huge userbase.
Still I believe most of the ppl here are to earn through bounty or any other form of advertising. So if Moonforum or any other forum will be able to offer big profits for it's user. Ppl will join them too. There is no question of moving there, member can have account in both forum.

I don't think other forums ever launched signature campaign but Moonforum launched first signature campaign.

So it will be too early to judge anything.

Being to compare bitcointalk with moonforum is not been a good comparables. Although moonforum offer some bounty campaigns it really needs community to gather quality members.

altercointalk and other forums talking about cryptocurrency can not in any way be compared to the original bitcointalk. After seeing the success and the number of audience available on this forum, other developers are trying to reinvent the wheel by doing similar forums but I don't think they are getting the necessary attention.

Forgive my ignorance, I first heard about Moonforum. It seems that Moonforum also has a bounty campaign similar to BTT. This is very interesting. I will take a look.
