i think this type of group is used for promoting their ICO. they want attract the investors. we shouldn't choose ICO on basis of the group. we should be careful ,analyze the ICO personally.

Back then, A vital criteria that is necessary for the successful of any project (not just the ico) was heavily dependent on the community size. But since VCs came in, ICOs switched to the airdrop /referral/proof of love marketing just to show VCs that they've a strong community so the VCs would invest. But that's shitty. It harms the ico in the long run. See Wepower, Go network or Hero node. These projects had over 100k Telegram members. Not anymore.

I don't think what was on the mind of the team behind the ICO when putting bots to make uninformative and unconstructive commets in their groups, they do exactly the opposite, they substract more legitibility from them, plus, the members of the team could even get ashamed of this.

Although we can't say that they are fake or fraud. They are more than 50,000 in number so there may be something else. But in this case, we must have a little caution. And before investing we must have knowledge in that field.

Guys, be careful with your money and time. Many investor and bounty members look into the telegram group members before joining in ICO Project. Like by seeing 50K to 90K Members in a running ICO group, we make the decision to do bounty campaigns for them, and investors go to invest there. But almost 70% of members are fake, came from airdrop, bot, added without permission and so on. You will see some people keep praising that project, will hit, wow project, good admin and blah blah. They posted those fake praise because of bounty and airdrop. Everyone should more careful before investing in any project. What do you think about this matter? Share your thoughts.

it is still better than after entering the telegram group, the contents are only full of airdrop advertisements and various other unimportant things. i think its also caused by we fill the fake airdrops form

Scammers are really smart they noticed that some of the projects that became successful had big telegram communities and in order to simulate that they found ways to up the number of people in their telegram channels, and as you may guess one indicator that was useful to gauge the interest of people in a project is gone and now you need to find another one until the scammers find a way to fake that one too.

Totally agree with you! That type of telegram groups have paid members and some get through softwares. I also know some mobile apps which help to grow telegram members like Telemembers and Mebersgram. But some people don't know how to catch those groups which have 50K members but mostly are fake. You can check it through by message seen. If any message of group is seen by 1/4 th of members then that group are called fake members group.

Abosolutely true. Instead of paying more attention to the product development, ICO spend too much energy on creation of ostensible community presence which vaporizes as soon as their bounty campaign is over.

Yes it is true most of the telegram members are inactive or fake accounts, they will use dummy accounts to get more credits specially in bounty telegram campaign. ICO telegram need active and supportive members not fake and inactive

Indeed, it cannot be denied by the community which is located on the telegram channel which looks great, not all members are investors. only a few people discussed the project being stretched.

I agree with you, to distinguish fake accounts, you must see chat activities in the group. the admin should be able to create rules so that fake accounts can be recognized. for example make a rule to comment or say hello in a group.
maybe that can help.

That is true most of the telegram group has a lot of fake inactive members just to vaprized their group and to show to all that they have large community so that you are able to trust them and invest on their project. That is one of telegram strategy to convince people and investors. So,be careful, much better to study very well their project  before investing. Why not try to invest in the project under my signature The Organicco,it is a great project which the purpose is to develope green technology for the beautiful planet in the future. It has many active members in telegram group. You can study it very well here....https://organicco.uk

If someone else judges the company by the number of participants - the situation is simply terrible. Have you not yet learned to evaluate the activity, interest, work of managers? Yes, it's strange, like all the ICO and bounty are already going ...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Its true that most of ICO telegram group has a fake inactive member and even bots. They make a big fake community to attract investors. But this is also a marketing strategy to gain attention and hype. But always be careful if you want to invest in this ICO's and always check if they update in their social media and check their roadmap.

its not really new to see a fake/bot accounts on telgram . even it is not related to ico's or cryptos , bots are always anywhere , not only on telegram but also on other social media sites like facebook , twitter , instagram and as well as on websites and forums but you can still easily tell whether they are fake  or not by just basing on their activity .  fake accounts tend to post stuffs that are bad or weird  , while legit accounts is obviously posting a meaningful content and are always following the rules and guidlines about the community  . so beware of them

My friends had loss for these kind of people. He invested in a garbage project by listening some fake reviews. After that he is now really careful and i think we all need to take precautions to prevent loss.
