i think for investment in ico we must be very careful, because we have to be right in analyzing many things. especially when the market is sluggish like this time and ico is getting heavier. it's better to buy 10th grade coins in coin marketcap

Definately NEO, definately LISK, definately Bitcoin and don't forget about Monero or any other privacy coin. Privacy coins will be more and more valuable and appreciated overtime.

I assume that you are aware of the higher risk if you want maximum returns. Why not spilt your capital in 3 to 5 coins, ranging from high risk to low risk.

This is probably the safest bet. Sure, you could make more from coins that aren't really known all too well, but you also take a huge risk. With the way the market is, I would stick to just investing in top 10 market cap coins. You'll still end up just fine when the market starts moving again.

Dude, the first one you must know that investing is not always get profit then you must take the risk if you get lost.
For coin that will be invested on, better you joined channel prediction about crypto price, I think $50.000 is big fund. Be careful if you choose the channel prediction.

Sounds like you cannot afford to lose?
I would be very careful if I were you.
Crypto is unpredictable and many have already lost it all.

With that being said if you are new I would recommend you research the top 10 coins in coin marketcap and start with those.
Also, don't buy everything at once. Split your total investment into at least 4 pieces of 25% each with a plan to buy on a schedule (weekly/monthly) that way if the market turns down you still have reserves to dollar cost average your investment and if it pumps you at lease have some skin in the came already.

There are so many coin which will grow in price well when bull run will come. As you said you have 5000$ to invest than I would suggest you to diversify your portfolio. I would suggest you to invest your funds as follows
1) Blockchain projects( 50%) you can go for EOS, ONT, NEO, ZIL, Quarkchain
2) Exchange (10%) go with the KUCOIN share which is quite down in price when bull run will come it will surely go around 5$ as compare to its current price 1.4$ Or some other exchange coins which offers passive income like ABCC, FCOIN etc
3) Mainstream cryptocurrency (40%) stick with the mainstream cryptocurrency like BTC, ETH, BCH, LTC all thid performs well in bull market.

If some of the blockchain project spikes than you can make huge money all above mentioned blockchain projects by me are hot and have projects on pipe line which are willing to use their blockchain services.

I think NEO was almost $200 but it really quite reached those points, except on some exchanges. It is hard to say now, so many altcoins are 95% DOWN from the ATH, so if you believe they will recover, then you can buy them and get x20 which is amazing returns. Even if they only become half the ATH you are looking at x10.

But will this happen? I do not really think so. This is the season when tokens that cannot find use or support will die.

NEO, ONT and ARK/NEBL(for lower cap coins) all depreciated way more than ETH/BTH and imo are quite safe picks, and most important all offer passive income(dPos/Pos)!
