what do you think is the real value of ETH ?

the only usage is for ICOs and they have been dying or losing their market at the very least as they either get banned or people simply stop trusting them anymore.

as for its supply, it is huge already. we have passed 101 million ether already and there is no max amount to it either. we will see it increase indefinitely.

in my opinion the real value of it is visible on ETC so ETH should also be wort the same or at least near that price which is why $50 was my choice.
what do you think?

I think ico is there as long as the market is still alive, or the living market because ICO is always there. So I think Ethereum will always dynamically follow market trends, which are currently determined by Bitcoin. So keeping Bitcoin I think will help the entire market including Ethereum.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I think Ethereum is more than that, Ether might be the second generation pioneer of crypto, which currently may not have a real competitor.
But indeed the market situation is bleeding today, and may occur in all financial sectors.
So maybe this will not be long, because many people also see a great opportunity, at the price of Ethereum.

The price of ETH never at 50$. ETH is a great project for world. I don't think it will die, but price can dump to 100$ or 120, 150,...

I guess that will only happen if someone makes a fast dump in one market but then the price can increase back to the price before. it is hard to believe that ethereum is going to down at $50 although it is possible to happen and I don't think that the price is going to go down in that price. the price now makes people want to buy ethereum as much as they can because the price now reduces 50% from the price so just imagine if the ethereum price down to $50, how much money will spend to just buy ethereum.

It's likely that price Ethereum will temporarily decrease to $50 due to market speculation. But I think hereinafter its value will still grow, on this platform makes now more 90% ICO and it's used for buy and sale cryptocurrencies on exchanges - this's very promising coin.

The price of the Ethereum may possibly fall so much only because of the panic of traders, I do not see any real reasons for Ethereum below 200$.

ICOs never finish. They still continues always, everyday people keep on releasing new ICOs, so you shouldn’t really say that this is the end of for it. As for ETH, the purpose for it is not only just for ICOs, there are other purposes for it just as Bitcoin is. I still started investing newly on Ethereum and I don’t really know much about it and since you said that the amount is indefinite, that means that the price is likely to decrease as supply gets more than demand. The reason Bitcoin is very high is because the number is limited.

Cryptocurrencies in general are declining not just eth, Its a market cycle that's why we are experiencing price plunges right now. I believe its unlikely for the value of eth to drop at $50 its a very low price, im doing my own analysis and I think this wont last long. Eth is being used by companies with an ICO and we can say they are not affected because their work are still in progress. One of the reason for this dip is the weak investors who panic sell because they are not immune in this situation who only wants quick money thats why they invest.

I don't think that we will see $50 per ETH any time soon, especially with its Proof of Stake implementation. But 200 USD for 1 ETH is possible. Too many ICOs are selling and cashing out now because of the market conditions.

I'm pretty sure that the Ethereum will not return the price of $ 50, and I will be very surprised if this happens. Even for the cryptocurrency market, this is too big a fall, considering that the Ethereum is in demand coin.

It seems like a lot of this weeks ETH plummet was sorta driven by a game of chicken from all of the different ICOs that have huge stacks of ether and dont know how long to hold.

It's a common misconception that the only use for eth is for icos.
Eth is essential in the maintaining of the entire ethereum network.
The whole entire ecosystem exists through eth.
To say that the value of eth will drop because icos aren't doing well is incredibly ignorant and misinformed.

When you invest in eth, you are investing in more than a crypto.
You are investing in an infrastructure for payments, p2p transactions, utility and consensus, trustless smart contracts, and entire dapp ecosystems.
That is the main reason why smart contract platforms are so valuable and out of all of them eth is king.

For me, I believe in eth and have moved my base portfolio to be eth based instead of btc based.
Sure, it has problems, but scalability and fees are directly being addressed now with solutions already coming up and being implemented by the end of the year.
If it is a "common" misconception then it is highly possible that the price can easily drop below  $50, because if its so common then people will actually stop using ot because of failure of icos.

Its more fault of the scammy ICOs that are spoiling something very new and innovative.

I do not agree with the author of the topic. ETH is made not only for ICO, it's a cryptocurrency which is widely used. And it will not go to 50$ for sure, 200-220 minimum what we will see.

I don't think so...ETH can never go back to $50...even if worse comes to worst  $150 -$200....may be the last touch before increasing in value

it would be funny to expect the eth value to drop to 50 $, I'm not sure because ethereum is still very productive in this industry than other altcoins. I think a sharp decline in eth follows bitcoin

If Ether goes down to 50 we have some serious, serious problems to be honest. That would be a big psychological barrier imo.

I dont think it will go down all the way to $50, but be prepared for at least another 50% drop from this 300 range right now

I think that nobody knows exactly what price will be the lowest for ETH. So, it not clear what to do now, sell or hold it until the market changes.

For $ 50, I do not agree with you, many things are related to the use of ETH, and it can not so much go down

if bitcoin is $ 4000, the ethereum will be $ 150, if not $ 4000, the lower limit of the ethereum will be $ 250.
