Nice. I personally love it. Every time i see that some service is available via crypto payments i do it that way. First i dont disclose my information, and it is quick and safe.
Crypto over card payment every day!

How do you manage to pay for everything with crypto with disclosing your information?
The last 3 things I bought with crypto required a shipping address and a name for the warranty...

Other than vps and subscriptions to some services you can't really buy much stuff without any info.
And I really would be using a fake name for a service, especially if I would have to ask for a refund!

Actually, people in Venezuela already started using cryptos to transfer money.
Their currency is losing value much faster than BTC can drop. It is being adopted there currently.

People are using bitcoin, dash or nano to buy food/clothes/water or to charge their phone. They have completely lost the faith into their national currency and started USING crypto.

Yesterday I made the mistake of sending a low fee tx of 3.1 sat/byte.
I got confirmed in 12 hours  Cry
But even that low fee is 5 cents, paying it every day would mean 1.5$ if we don't consider the dust problem that will trigger. The average wage in Venezuela is....nope doesn't work

Now to the pop vs tx rates
There are 30 million people in Venezuela and about 200k tx a day/ unchanged for months
If each Venezuelan would make a tx it would clog the network for 150 days...

Maybe there are a few doing this, maybe a thousand but not a percentage that could be expressed without a ton of zeros.

It would be great to see cryptos replacing fiat money. I know some people do not want to see that happen but it is an option. Nowadays, it is very hard to use cryptos in daily routines. It is hard because of the exchange rates and places to do it. It can be done online and it means you need a good connection. The world is still dominated by banks and they do not allow cryptos. Some countries do not allow their citizens to use cryptos as well. In that case, it is very hard to use cryptos in daily routines. I believe this will happen one day but not now.
I think that cryptos would never be able to replace fiat money.Instead, the governments would launch their own digital currencies.

In a daily basis yes, but only for reloading my phone to able to call. I pay my internet bills with crypto in the monthly. It is very useful as for now- I don't know when it will last but I am maximizing it's utilities for now. Another is I send money to my relatives using crypto and it is the best thing that I liked about, less fees and instant transactions.

Can you please let us know the names of those vendors who accept crypto payments for reloading your mobile balance and allows you to pay for your home internet service?? I would love to know because in my country, I could not found any such option. Probably I can create some use case and present that to my local vendors to make them interested about crypto payments. Sending money to my relatives is definitely I can do but sadly I have no option for bill payments using crypto. That is the reason why I am curious to know!

This and other questions are part of a questionnaire that we, a research team from the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL) are doing. It seeks to understand the drivers' usage of cryptocurrencies by the end user such as you and me. Considering 10 different dimensions, from perceived usefulness to privacy to profitability, among others.
It takes on average 3 minutes to answer.

Here is the link for the questionnaire:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/cryptocurrencies_usage

More details if you want to know more about it:
For this, it was created a questionnaire with Likert type scale questions. These dimensions will then be used to construct a model, based on the traditional Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) developed in 1989, and some others developed afterwards, but with more adapted to the cryptocurrencies ecosystem. Then it will be done some data analysis and compilation of results.
This questionnaire has some focus on the financial area, but this does not mean it is the most important. We know there are some other dimensions not being addresses in this questionnaire, such as decentralisation/government influence, that may be addressed in the future.
After analysing and publishing the thesis and papers I will post on this forum with infographics and the most important conclusions of the study.

There are no open questions, but you can post here or message me about this.

Thank you for your time! Best Regards,
The University Institute of Lisbon research team

Unless we all want to lie to ourselves, in most places now, cryptocurrency is not being used daily for life stuffs and all we are just so keen about is the profitability in the long run.

While it is true that all cryptocurrencies seem to be just a speculative object in most countries, this does not apply to all countries.
And i am sure there will be more countries whose financial system will collapse. People in these countries might start adopting towards crypto too.

If this process is followed by all the country.Their will be huge raise in the price of all cryptocurrency. In US,bitcoin is used by huge number of people as like in Venezuela.I don't know why people completely lost the faith into their national currency and started USING crypto.
But this will give some positive impact to the price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrency used by them.

We are still in the development phase of cryptocurrencies  so using them in daily life could take another 5-10 years. we should know bitcoin , cryptocurrencies and blockchain are here to remain. i think we will be laughing at ourself for doubting cryptocurrencies.

What I have now is product of cryptocurrency. I do not directly use bitcoin in my daily living but the things that I have now are from bitcoin. Most of us do not actually use bitcoin in everyday living but we benefit from it. We do not actually pay using bitcoin, we just convert it into fiat then that's it.

Same as you. I use bitcoin for several transactions such as paying electricity bills, cable tv and so on. I don't use bitcoin for daily life because it's still a limitation of the use of bitcoin itself. like only few merchants who accept bitcoin as payment. and of course with the expensive fees also affect

well, yeah, it is more appealing to see how cryptos are being used in our daily life but today is not a good idea, the price is plummeting and highy volatile, because bitcoin price are going down, spending it on a daily basis is not quite advantageous to us, it is like investments on a short term basis, the volatility speaks for itself that bitcoin is intended for a longer period of time, if you continue to buy and sell on a daily basis, we are just like playing games here. only to realized you are at a losing end.

I use cryptocurrency only like speculation thing. I am trader. And i also think, that 90% of people, who use cryptocurrency, they use it for speculation and nothing else. If we talk about daily life, i use normal fiat there.
Use them for a certain purpose. Maybe the sales increase and then change to currency. It is also possible to trade things on the internet by means of electronic money. If applicable, they can replace any cash flow on social networks.

I don't know what other usefulness one can think of that can be more than being able to convert your crypto currency to whatever fiat you wish to. There are several ways I have used it aside just converting to fiat but I have been discouraged because of the premium attached to such services.

I have loaded my phone once when I saw the services promoted on the forum here and decide to try it out. Worked fine but I felt its cheaper converting to fiat then recharge my phone. Other areas is in buying of goods like clothes that I have seriously considered but looking at the value relative to my fiat equivalent, its on the high side. Gift cards are also potent areas for its use all across the world which thereafter its being used to buy anything on major sites.

The last time I bought something with Bitcoin was in 2016 (I've been in holding mode since). I bought a used CPU for like $20 worth. (Which now would be around $264). It's been a while, but next time I build a computer it's going to be mostly with Bitcoin.

I haven't really used cryptocurrencies much in my daily life, but a couple of weeks ago I sent a girl a very low portion of a coin I have for a picture of her, for proof that she really was a girl, and it just felt so amazing. My first crypto transaction ever. I sent the coins, she sent me the picture. I can't explain it, it felt so right.

Some of cryptocurrency's biggest names lead the push for digital currency acceptance and everyday use.
Ethereum has proven to be a very popular cryptocurrency, and many platform tokens are based upon its blockchain. Ethereum really ushered in a new age with the smart contract, whose impact is only just getting started. Like most major cryptocurrencies, people can use Ethereum-based debit cards for everyday use.

There are some potential issues with Ethereum such as the collapse of The DAO, resulting in a hard fork, and the currency has had some volatility, going up and down in value. Still, that hasn't kept Ethereum from expanding and being used in everyday life. Case in point is that hundreds of electric car charging stations have been opened in Germany that use Ethereum, and such stations have now appeared in California. Toyota is looking at creating an alternative to Uber that uses Ethereum as well.

I usually use BTC ETH LTC to pay for items I buy in other countries. It is very fast and convenient, In the future I hope the crypto can grow stronger to be applicable in many different areas.

Except if we as a whole need to mislead ourselves, in many places now, digital money isn't being utilized day by day forever stuffs and all we are simply so sharp about is the benefit over the long haul. Without a doubt, things would change after some time as digital money begins getting more settled, improvement in the blockchain segment continues enhancing and we begins seeing utilization and appropriation by shippers, however for the time being, asides from being an installment implies for occupations done crosswise over visitor or at all, which is sufficient at any rate, there is no different convenience.
