This and other questions are part of a questionnaire that we, a research team from the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL) are doing. It seeks to understand the drivers' usage of cryptocurrencies by the end user such as you and me. Considering 10 different dimensions, from perceived usefulness to privacy to profitability, among others. It takes on average 3 minutes to answer. Here is the link for the questionnaire: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/cryptocurrencies_usage More details if you want to know more about it:For this, it was created a questionnaire with Likert type scale questions. These dimensions will then be used to construct a model, based on the traditional Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) developed in 1989, and some others developed afterwards, but with more adapted to the cryptocurrencies ecosystem. Then it will be done some data analysis and compilation of results. This questionnaire has some focus on the financial area, but this does not mean it is the most important. We know there are some other dimensions not being addresses in this questionnaire, such as decentralisation/government influence, that may be addressed in the future. After analysing and publishing the thesis and papers I will post on this forum with infographics and the most important conclusions of the study. There are no open questions, but you can post here or message me about this. Thank you for your time! Best Regards, The University Institute of Lisbon research team yes I use crypto and I pay attention to it every day because I know it will help me out of poverty because I have learned so much that it has been good for the poor so i will keep it Crypto currencies are become part of our life Yes i mostly use my coins to pay online bills and buying items . But still in some place they’re not accepting .It would be great if fiat got replace by crypt currencies every one will start accepting it .

Bitcoin is probably very beneficial to my life. When traveling in countries where bitcoin is available, I can pay for the service I used. Although, Bitcoin payment methods may not be developed in my country.

I occasionally purchase goods from websites in other countries. They have a method of accepting payments with bitcoin so it is quite easy and smooth for me. In the future, I hope Cryptocurrency will be more widely available

I occasionally use it to purchase digital goods from some sites but other than that I only use crypto for trading. Cryptocurrency as a form of payment is banned in my country so I can't use it to buy things offline and there's only a few sites where I can spend my crypto, I guess in a few more years we will see more crypto adoption that will make crypto more useful in our daily life.

No, I don't use cryptocurrency in everyday life, because in my country cryptocurrency is not a legitimate payment instrument, I like to sell cryptocurrency that I have if I need money.

Where I live, crypto is not really popular and widely accepted. I do not have the habit of using crypto every day. I only use crypto on trading platform, and store them as personal property.
The time to use the cryptocurrencies in real life has not come yet. I do believe that several years should pass before Bitcoin and the cryptos will be accepted in most of the stores, and not online only.

Until we start seeing merchants accepting it, and people start seeing the need to use it as a currency, before we would be able to see any real life usage in daily life. For now, what everyone is busy wrapping their head with is just the speculative aspect of it as an asset which would enable them to make a huge profit in the long run, but this can only be a possibility if the currency aspect comes into play in our daily lives. We are going to get there anyway as we keep evolving.

In our country the use of cryptocurrency is still prohibited for use in buying and selling or legal tender, but I continue to collect my crypto coins every day, because this is very useful for me. although I have not been able to use cryptocurrency directly, but I can exchange my crypto coins with Fiat or dollars, which I can then use to meet my daily needs.

Nice. I personally love it. Every time i see that some service is available via crypto payments i do it that way. First i dont disclose my information, and it is quick and safe. Crypto over card payment every day!
Yes. I always used it when I exchange my bitcoin into fiats. Thanks to cryptocurrency I can support all of my needs. I can earn money in a good way, I can also do my job while earning bitcoin. People around me, starting to be curious about bitcoin because of me. Well, I am flattered to teach them, However nowdays its hard to earn bitcoin in this forum because of the merit rule.

By asking if you're using cryptocurrencies in your daily life OP did not mean exchanging to fiat. Saying that you are using BTC daily... to get fiat. Is an insult not only to the question in the thread but crypto itself. At least that's how I see it Personally the only thing I'm using crypto right now is shopping on Amazon and ordering food, as there are some restaurants in the area that accept BTC payments. I prefer to spend fiat and hold crypto for the obvious reason.

It is not used often, but I had a chance to pay/receive crypto in real life (online work though). If you are working online, there is a bigger chance that you can trade work/time/product for crypto that in an actual store. It is a long way, but I do believe that people will trust more in crypto and be willing to accept it as a payment method.

I didn't join the survey but I'll answer if I'm using it frequently.
I do, when I want to buy something over the net I'm using bitcoin for paying it. I just command someone to pick it up to me if the item isn't available for shipping but only for store pick up. But the products and services that I can use for my everyday life is limited, adoption here isn't so big.

Did the survey. Hope your research project goes well.
I think that most people right now are using bitcoin as an investment, and as a store of value. People in disadvantaged countries with financial crises definitely benefit from bitcoin in a practical sense, as they are able to have something to hold their wealth in without having to worry about the constant depreciation of their national fiat.
The overall offline use of bitcoin in actual physical stores is obviously still low, but this is mainly because of the fact that adoption hasn't picked up to its fullest yet. Once we see more adoption in the coming decade, we'll see more merchants accepting bitcoin in real life as well. Remember, bitcoin is still relatively young.
