Check this out! http://bullittcountyhistory.org/memories/devilwagon.htmlDevil Bitcoin, ban it! It was common in many areas in the early 1900's to fight against the coming of the automobile. After all, many people proclaimed, wide sales of cars could destroy the horse industry, cause all sorts of disturbance, and radically change the status quo. For the Crypto bulls, google this: The Evolution from Horse to Automobile: A Comparative International Study ...we have a long way to go.

Bitcoin is the ultimate freedom test. It tells you who is giving lip service and who genuinely believes in it.
... ... In the future, books that summarize the history of money will have a line that says, “and then came bitcoin.” It is the economic singularity. And we are living in it now. - Ryan Dickherber... ... ATTENTION BFL MINING NEWBS: Just got your Jalapenos in? Wondering how to get the most value for the least hassle? Give BitMinter a try! It's a smaller pool with a fair & low-fee payment method, lots of statistical feedback, and it's easier than EasyMiner! (Yes, we want your hashing power, but seriously, it IS the easiest pool to use! Sign up in seconds to try it!)... ... The idea that deflation causes hoarding (to any problematic degree) is a lie used to justify theft of value from your savings.

Sure, this article appears bizarre 100 years after it was written. Yet, if you look at the current regulatory frenzy around crypto, this is equally bizarre. I hope that 100 years from now, using crypto is completely normal for transactions of all sorts, so that people will only laugh about the bizarre attempts to stop this invention. 1908: "Representative Thompson Introduces Bill to Put "Devil Wagons" Out of Business in the State of Kentucky" 2014: http://www.coindesk.com/us-senator-bitcoin-ban-letter-federal-regulators/Maybe in 10-20 years, banks will use the crypto network infrastructure for their transactions just like they use the internet today? It is no coincidence that Wells Fargo is relatively crypto friendly, a company that has seen a lot of change in their 150 year history. They started out with horse carriages too
