Why was it launched earlier than supposed to?
We launched mining rewards at block = 3600. Because KGW doesn't really adjust exactly per block, when there is large uptick in hash power, it isn't exactly every 2 minutes. The algo tries to ease in so there aren't wide jumps and lows.. So what happened was someone (i don't know who), started throwing massive hashes at this right before launch.. thus accelerating the otherwise stable 2/min per block find rate... unfortunately even, I was surprised how much this was accelerated by. The good news is that because of KGW , not that many blocks have been found.. we;re at block 3796 now, which is really 196 , adjusted for the 3600 offset.. Next time, i think i'll have to modify the code to see if this can be better timed through nTime, rather than by nHeight... though.. not sure if that'll work, needs to test that theory out.

What happened was, it was late in the evening, the miner was tired, he saw the current block was 3000, that was about 20 hours away, but he had a plane to catch or swim at the beach or something, figured he wasn't going to be online at block 3600, so he set all his miners going already.
As far as he's concerned, he gets in on block 3600. Unfortunately for the rest of us, that was a giant 1000 MH/s farm.
I told you to make it a week, hehehe.. But that's okay. A fair start is fair. Everyone knew mining already started. The rewards just weren't in yet.
So here I am, with a bunch of GPUs that are NOT mining. ... In the mean time, I plugged in my USB dualminer for 70 kh/s. At least I get something.

you should mine from block 3000 when you go out to swim, but you didn't.so you missed the coin. With KGW in place, don't think anyone really missed out too much here.. not like we were starting at difficulty 0. Block count is real healthy atm.

I still can't believe stage three investors got nearly TWICE as many stackcoins as stage two for their investment.

http://coinok.pw/What do you guys think? Faucet, Paper Wallet and Scratch Game. I will inquire about pricing. Very nice idea.. I think it doesn't really cost a thing. Its free, but if the faucet drys up and stays like that for 3 days, they remove it. Anyways... Awesome launch and great to see some real high hashes.. Its just a matter of time for this to become popular since this coin has a pre-defined purpose.

Maybe we should see about getting up on Poloniex - they seem to take newer coins. I have liked the exchange so far...

Anyone having trouble with http://stack.ctrlaltdefeated.usI have over 200,000 confirmed, set to automatic payout, but it's just been there for hours. Edit: Received 10 seconds after posting this. Wonder what happened the last 5 hours.
