The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Non-announced coins (in my opinion) aren't scams.
Yes there's the element of the DEV and his friends getting on the coin crazy early before everyone else - but that's if they DON'T announce it ANYWHERE as soon as it's launched.

I mean, Flappycoin for example, I was lucky enough to be mining this from the low 100's blocks because I saw the ANN on here.
If it was pre-announced, there'd have been a tonne of people on it, and I wouldn't have gained the coins I did (most likely)

But, for Rubycoin, this was pre-ann (not the best coin granted), but at the same time, I was in there from block 50, and got over 1000 coins in the space of a few mins - the fact that the DEV screwed everyone by only giving out 50/block and not telling a soul about it peeved me off no-end - but still, I got a shed load of coins early on in the process and made good $$$$ in the process.

Like everything, there's two sides - you get lucky if you catch a non-ann coin early. Likewise you can get lucky with pre-ann coins too.

As for this coin, I gave up trying to solo mine.... I'm just 100% useless at solo!

Beecoin is a shining example of how a launch should be done... how can a ninja start be fair at all?  some people are sleeping. Don't think even for 1 second that ninja starts are NOT for the SOLE benefit of the dev. If he wanted his coin distributed widely he would announce.

Devs doing ninja starts are super instamining their coin.... have no doubts on this.

5am euro and midnight est  hehehe what a scam coin.... i would say let it die.... storm in a teacup as they say.

So it's only fair if it fits your time zone? No matter at what time the launch is, there would always be people sleeping.

WTF is with this coin - compiled the source and it's called litecoind?  Even worse, the config file location is screwed up:

Code:
Error: To use stormcoind, you must set a rpcpassword in the configuration file:
./coin.conf

Trying to get a pool setup but I cannot with this busted source
