Why only at the end of 2018? If your plan fails and sees no increase until the end of the year just extend it to another year and so on. Its your money so you can decide for yourself on whats the best thing to do. Buying ETH while its under $300 is a good buy as of now.

The best strategy here is to as much as you can and relax for next year because I don't see much happening with it as far as this year is concerned. Attention should be on next year actually. Etherium isn't the long term play... You guys should look at the competition these days which are doing things better and more constructive. Bitcoin is a great store of value, but Etherium is blockchain 2.0..blockchain 3.0 could be an ecosystem which is based on governance, kinda like what the DAO wanted to achieve if it wasn't hacked.
