As of now Myetherwallet is one of the good wallet to stored ER20 Token, and yes its safe but be wise to use your wallet to avoid hackers, just use metamask if you want to connect your wallet to exchange site and don`t import your wallet in the decentralize exchange because its very risky.

I think yes, because many people use myetherwallet to stored altcoin ERC20 token because as we know myetherwallet is very convenient to use as crypto wallet but yes we need to be wise to use myetherwallet, avoid importing your wallet to many exchange sites because those sites is very risky, so its better to use secondary security to connect your wallet in the exchange if you want to trade your coins or to buy some coins in that way myetherwallet is safe.

Creating wallet through myetherwallet(MEW) is very safe as long as you keep your private key, have a strong password then backup on it. Just avoid phishing site or don't just click any site which you do not know or not familiar with it, because it might be a cause an open door for the hackers.

Until now it is the most recommended wallet for Ethereum and its not token. So far I never encounter any problem using it in a daily basis. Just make sure that you secure your private key and separate your storage wallet to a wallet that you want to trade in a decentralize platform.

It is secured wallet, but you cant restore the account once the keys get losted. I suggest you to check everything also keep a backup file of the wallet so you can restore whenever you want.

myetherwallet  is not a user friendly wallet compared to others out there and it isnt also safe because there are many people already lost thier coins after they used it .

im not against mew and infact i also used mew as a wallet for my altcoins but im only saying the truth based on my experience and on what i see online .

@op if you are really curious about your security , then youd better use hardware wallets that supports eth and erc20 coins because that is more secure than mew or any other online purse  ..
