It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Ok just deposited iCoins, currently the transfer has 1 out of 3 confirmations, but it's not showing up in my account's Pending Deposit.
EDIT: and now it appeared as pending after 2/3 confirmations. Could use perhaps a slight improvement.

GPUCoin had a rough start today so we are clearing out the exchanges in the next few hours. If you want the orphaned coins, please let me know and I'll send them back your way. Elsewise, we will be deleting the wallets and zeroing out the balances.

I see it on the road map. I also see you guys putting up all these stupid coins that have zero deposits being added and zero trades. I'm asking you to add SBC cause at least I have some to trade. I don't get adding zeit, gpu, and iCoin ones people have barely heard of (might all be awesome) and have _ZERO_ trade volume. Can you help me understand? Other then just the admins like those coins?

We have a list of coins that will get added to the main list. I believe Bill has setup a voting thread at: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497351.new#newPart of my responsibilities here is the wallet infrastructure and implementation. The reason for adding these newer coins is for me to test disposable wallet infrastructure. As part of our scaling out strategy, one thing I want to be prepared for is the ability to support new coins and have a manageable infrastructure that can be brought up and tore down quickly. This allows us to test new wallets without risking our current established wallets. You'll notice that both ZEIT and GPU aren't listed on the main trade bar on the left; that is the reason why. For the more established coins, there is multi-tiered system that have higher availability and a higher cost of deployment and maintenance. I know this isn't a perfect answer, but that was my thinking when I convinced the team to do these two coins. I highly doubt you will see anymore adhoc additions going forward.

Now this is bad ass!!!
You need to be seriously talking more about this. There is some exchanges (i'm looking at you cavirtex) that don't have the ability to independently (as their last few outages have been related to this) bring up/down currency pairs without major downtime. The fact that Bittrex can do this in production so flawlessly shouldn't be understated. Especially when you already give us the abilities to see the status' of the hot wallets.

CGB is around for over half a year, has a active development team of more then 7 people and a steadily growing community. I've started one in Go, but due to some problems with there API and the lack of support from bittrex (no response after 5 days) i've put the dev in pause. See : https://github.com/Toorop/go-bittrexEdit: richiela reply to me via twitter. I will finish Bittrex lib for Go asap

Did this exchange really take a turn and made an agreement to monopolize the alt-coin scene together with the big pools? Is this how things are handled now?
Can you explain this any further ??!

https://github.com/T...ples/bittrex.go work example: package main import ( "fmt" "github.com/toorop/go-bittrex" ) const ( API_KEY = "" API_SECRET = "" ) func main() { // Bittrex client bittrex := bittrex.New(API_KEY, API_SECRET) // Get Ticker (BTC-VTC) /* ticker, err := bittrex.GetTicker("BTC-DRK") fmt.Println(err, ticker) */ } keys - https://bittrex.com/Home/ApiProgramming language, I so understood, GO. It is request for receipt of initial information on a rate: Judging by documentation the answer in a type shall come: /public/getticker Used to get the current tick values for a market. Parameters parameter required description market required a string literal for the market (ex: BTC-LTC) Request:https://bittrex.com/...ublic/getticker Response{ "success" : true, "message" : "", "result" : { "Bid" : 2.05670368, "Ask" : 3.35579531, "Last" : 3.35579531 } } Here and the question how to give a rate and to appropriate it to any variable or it already in ticker, err , and here err is a type shows on a data file and ticker, bid will issue me result about a purchase price?

feature request: One more column in "Your open orders" https://bittrex.com/HistoryPlease multiply/divide "BID/ASK" and "Units Total" into one more column "BTC value" - then I can order by that column, and quickly see how much BTC I have locked into what. Thanks a lot! Tip me for my work: 19ff2KsUxD7B3EumxhrKRJ5qDP7yc8YQfD

Hello Bittrex, A trader is abusing your order book rules. Probably with a bot, but the bot is not the problem, it's the one user. You are truncating at 50 orders from the current price. And that guy fills up the whole table with bullshit, in order to hide everything outside that 2x50 range. Latest example: SDC. Today, 2015/02/15 around 1800 UTC. I suggest: 1) You remove all those obvious fake orders manually. 2) You block that user for some days, and send him a link to this public complaint. When he understands it ... unblock him again, please. I don't want to harm anyone, but I also don't want to get harmed. And his ill behaviour is malevolently limiting the information that I can access for my trading decisions. Long term: Please consider to re-code your order book. Better. Either no truncation, so show the whole order book. Perhaps with a "Load all" click, like on poloniex? Or if you don't like that for some reasons, and want to limit your book to 50 lines: Why not accumulate all orders around a central price into one line? Then the question is only how much range of the total order book to show. How much of the total order book to show makes sense? One way is to take an average current volatility, multiply that by some constant, and add & subtract that from the current price, to get an intelligent order book range. Then divide that range by two times 50 steps, and accumulate around each of those steps. Easy peasy. Recalculate the volatilty a few times per day - and only if price or volatility changes much, re-calc the 2x50 positions. Should not be much drain on your servers. Happy to code it for you, if you pay me well. But first send a warning to that manipulator guy now, please. Thanks.

Superb. Thanks to everyone involved. Perhaps someone just bought up those mini-orders? The sell order book is visible again. Actually only (27979 - 23019) / 23019 = 22% of it, but that's much better than the (24057 - 23898) / 23898 = 0.7 % a few hours ago. > People have been doing that on trex forever. Yes I know. But today my patience with that stupid game was gone *g* I actually made a similar posting about the same thing already ages ago. And yes, back then, I sent them a support ticket, too. Pauciloquent answer Happy to see it finally realized: > beta.bittrex.comWow, very cool. So it's solved for good. Happy. Perhaps they fixed the leak, too? Hey, I just want to vouch that I've used Bittrex for the past couple of days and found it reliable and speedy so far. Deposits confirmed quickly and accurately, and trading takes place fairly and with pretty good UI. To you personally Bittrex, I would ask that you take extreme care being US based that you are complying with all KYC and money laundering laws. In recent years the Feds have been increasingly going after US based exchanges based on outdated laws, and you seem like a genuine operation trying to do its best. So please consult with a lawyer and take any necessary precautions to protect yourself. Thanks for running a solid and honest exchange, and still carrying Aeon (when others had given up on it). Good luck in your future.

Thanks for running a solid and honest exchange, and still carrying Aeon (when others had given up on it). Hhmmm. Bittrex must own some of it or someone is paying to keep it there. In the past, they have wasted no time in delisting coins with poor performance. Probably, one of the main reasons for the downturn in business.

And supported Bittrex the investigation to help the cryptocurrency-users or not? After a long search I located hacker BTC wallet,where he put BTCs after selling stolen LTC, BTCD and XC and most likely from some other stolen coins from Cryptsy too https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/1356a64174770337This is list of hacker BTC wallet addresses and amounts on them: 1C6JEkN16FqyLH37vvmSicE59kqEadUmtf 1044.4783332 1EycjnLMwsu3TGkmRXk2KcQFKfMDms3BPh 543.96196074 1LDJRDYwqaMeP4fohtKCk9rC4yNp84ZwBj 539.76554775 12wjDTKN7VJ7EzGpXhzUugRn9EksAE7V54 529.15362786 12jbr2aBAvepnhLVzH7FmEJSj5vhV12AVc 525.12341805 16GND7hK2G6ng1wkZeotEboAAXCJQ3oFMS 198.38328147 19tZeUPgr79fPcnF7kZ5Auibng5MJu8ZXV 92.68801239 1CH76kqRrgi1bNKBR2No58D2Ww4ZMLNnAz 24.3806 1KCUsmS1yno86E1WyaezJryBLeFPTBvgSS 20.91127867 12pph89q6WqBnfSMyhTbB9jY3Qy42ckkSY 0. 152kBAm48m7qpJ435LnvskYNyQk5zdE7oR 0. 1KLAEfwvJC8awiuigk5CrQ8dVB2XsXjABm 0. 13hvDJDXC95hgvBqbf3zVpQiYct8FTv2GZ 0. 1MWcNSArYxzR2JxAqs7fSi9hnKMgf1KfNM 0. 121nt1QeEZTbSRREaEGvKcqCmTQkhCcDAX 0. 1CCN21uVdp95LHJtXh53B6BC7M3s4y63Mo 0. 1FDDuyhunAtBb287WNmJEEwr6s24yvEQTv 0. 15wzuUsgz5Wia8i5mrEYp3p8ciHPbi1v4h 0. 1JuyFXAYuS4RHdaxrZDjE1f6XtFPRQdhYP 0.
I was tracking Bittrex BTC wallet outputs on dates when he moved stolen BTCD and XC on Bittrex.Hacker moved and sold BTCD and XC on Bittrex in period between 14.Oct.2014 - 07.Nov.2014.I did it ,because Bittrex is a small exchange in comparison for BTC exchanges, there are no much big withdrawals, and every such one can be easily identified and tracked. Inside hacker wallet there is address 1C6JEkN16FqyLH37vvmSicE59kqEadUmtf : https://www.walletexplorer.com/address/1C6JEkN16FqyLH37vvmSicE59kqEadUmtfon that address hacker put BTC after selling BTCD and XC on Bittrex and LTC on BTC-e(11.July.2015) If you carefully look on inputs at that address for period 14.Oct- 04.Nov.2014 - they are all from Bittrex. After this period new inputs started again on 11.July.2015 - day when LTC started to moving to different exchanges. As I wrote in mine previous posts, 55000 LTC moved 11.July on BTCe exchange to address: LY13Z54QKwyAnuwKfYwKFhW98qa6ihsfYy and then to BTCe LTC hot wallet - LXA3i9eEAVDbgDqkThCa4D6BUJ3SEULkErHacker sold 55000 LTC on BTC-e 11-12.July.2015,but could not move about 935 BTC all at once, due to BTCe daily withdraw limit of 100 BTC,so you will see a lot of inputs of 99.999 BTC on 1C6JEkN16FqyLH37vvmSicE59kqEadUmtf from 11-25.July All inputs on this address for period 11-25.July has a total sum of about 930 BTC. Average value of LTC for 11-12July on BTCe,when hacker sold them was 0.017 BTC for 1 LTC: 55000 x 0.017 = 935 BTC If you trace backward(with help of Wallet explorer trace largest sum(branching BTCe output) in every txs) all BTC inputs on address 1C6JEkN16FqyLH37vvmSicE59kqEadUmtf for 11-25.July have point of origin in BTCe exchange wallet. Also hacker wallet https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/1356a64174770337 for a period 18.Aug.2014(when it formed) till now you will see that all inputs in it has a total sum of ~ 4685 BTC Sum of stolen LTC,BTCD and XC is: 2475000 LTC x 0.015 = 3712 BTC 107400 BTCD x 0.007 = 752 BTC 289000 XC x 0.0007 = 202 BTC --------------------------------------------- Total: 4666 BTC , very very close to the sum of all inputs for that wallet I have also tested dozen other transactions (traced them backward) in this wallet https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/1356a64174770337 and found that BTC inputs which came from LTC selling(11-25.July.2015 came from Huobi, BTC38 and BTC-e,like I found and wrote in previous posts. First 8 inputs in this wallet https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/1356a64174770337?page=3 ,has point of origin BTC38.It was before LTC,BTCD and XC started to move,so it is most likely from some other robbed coins, which Cryptsy did not report or even did not aware. Also hacker sold on BTC38 and BTER till 14.Oct.2014 coins in total value of about 200 BTC.It was before BTCD,XC and LTC started to move - so it is some other stolen coins never reported. This is a list of BTCD and XC transactions and dates when they came to Bittrex: XC11 https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?198609.htm - moved 24.10.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?411249.htm - moved 07.11.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?380728.htm - moved 24.10.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?395694.htm - moved 31.10.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?373715.htm - moved 20.10.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?373818.htm - moved 20.10.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?393371.htm - moved 30.10.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?399652.htm - moved 02.11.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?380702.htm - moved 23.10.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?398810.htm - moved 01.11.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?399528.htm - moved 02.11.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?399682.htm - moved 02.11.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?399688.htm - moved 02.11.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?399694.htm - moved 02.11.2014 - Bittrex https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?411262.htm - moved 07.11.2014 - Bittrex BTCD http://explorebtcd.info/tx/8d20bdcc209a724f9769707578d69bd39bfa108636ae3df7664f8a56629e67af - moved 24.10.2014 - Bittrex http://explorebtcd.info/tx/a035693c30b9d6ad2fe9b8e1df8fb41e672b292546065863e73095838965344e - moved 14.10.2014 - Bittrex http://explorebtcd.info/tx/3cdd16fe894e7039b4edeefae27d40ce355d44ac0a98ed7e3715ca117d2befde - moved 30.10.2014 - Bittrex Bittrex should be check her adresses.

Just bumping this to see if Bittrex-Bill is still active. Ive recently started using Bittrex and am pretty happy so far. It would be nice to see updates and news posted here on any happenings at the exchange as well as to have a support person should I/we need it.

watch out, Bittrex seems to disable accounts on a grand scale. Others are already forced to upgrade/create a basic account as minimum standard, otherwise no more withdrawal is possible. After Poloniex transformed to a dubious exchange, now Bittrex seems to follow. I guess this action is another nail at the coffin of centralized exchanges.

Bittrex is a ponzi scheme. They steal your funds. They arbitrarily choose 28 states where if you live in one of those states now all of the sudden you can't get your coins back. Where was the limit on deposits? BITTREX IS A PONZI SCHEME!!!!!!! Do not give them your ID. They will use it against you. They are CRIMINALS!!!!!!

They told me to verify my account and closed the ticket. Since I told them I'm not going to do that, and what they're doing is ridiculous, they're just started ignoring me.

Did they actually send you a reply to your ticket? Did it say verify or they are keeping your money?

It's ridiculous that bittrex can't hire more "soldiers" to continue registrations and faster verifications. On this market we can't wait for it.

Hi Bittrex team,
A little over a year ago I was in contact with a team member by the name of Bill, it was regarding listing a coin project I was working on at the time. I am trying to get in touch with him, the email chain I was corresponding with him on is no longer active since it was awhile ago. I have tried to get in touch with a human being through your support department, but I cannot get past the digital gatekeepers to a real live human being. Lol, is it possible someone from Bittrex will have mercy on my soul, and send me a DM?

Dear Bittrex Team,
Can you somebody some my issue? Cause your BTG wallet is offline without a valid reason, I can not access my deposited coins, which were still under confirmation when the wallet went offline (A month ago!)

The best way to address problems is using their support. Though sometimes it takes weeks for them to answer and solve issues. Another way is thru twitter. Sometimes I see their twitter account responding on some issues.

Sometimes I see their twitter account responding on some issues. Yeah ok but why did they create an official thread here then, if they do not even bother answering ? This is not professional. I can't wait for DEXes to become mature and widely used. This centralized exchange sh*it must come to an end.
