It can be possible but that is really small percentage actually. That guy need to invest right time  to right coin and he need to sell his tokens also in right time.
When people looking to charts they can see that opportunity but if they want to try that it is nearly impossible. They need to work too much learn too much and they need luck more than everything.
So yes it can be possible. Because of that too many people investing in crypto currencies but clearly that is very very very hard.

As for getting rich overnight, it depends on how lucky you are.
