To be honest, the investment amount of $600 is very small. It is not particularly suitable for investing in ETH. But I still recommend you choose ETH because ETH is safer than other Altco. If you invest in ETH now, you must be rewarded.

Maybe you should split it. With that much of money, I think you would earn more investing in ICO's rather than in something that is somewhat stable I guess? Like if you would compare the profit margin you can get from ICO with ETH, I would say there is more profit in ICO.

It's practically nothing, there's practically no risk. Can you consider buying cheaper coins,  you will get more quantitatively, and then the profit will be more significant.

Ethereum has proven itself worthy of a project one can invest into. There may have been challenges over the years which balls down to security and scaling but it is still waxing stronger among all altcoins so far. The price of Ethereum now is quite low which only have a lower possibility that it will move down again so the tendency will be the price to recover up to 350$ which is already a good sign of having a real profit.

If you want to invest in ETH, you should consider that since the beginning of the year the cryptocurrency market is bearish and does not guarantee that you can have benefits quickly.  If you are willing to be patient and hold your investment more time, I think ETH is still a good investment among cryptocurrencies, but I advise you to diversify a bit to limit the risk of betting on a single coin. Instead of investing $600 only in ETH, you could invest between several cryptocurrencies from the top.
