I think slowly but surely each country and govt around the world will start recognizing and accepting the value of crypto and blockchain tech, they simply cannot keep their eyes shut forever or they will loose the game of innovation, they have to accept that blockchain is the next advanced digital technology and it cannot be stopped.

Well, it's not all governments, as there are those governments that on the contrary move and develop blockchain and cryptography, just in some countries, the government used to control everything so that everything passes through them and they earn money, and so it turns out past them, and so they are not satisfied
]
All gov's don't like crypto but some of these try to lead in the stream. However, all gov's don't like because they can't influence on the emission, flows, control and development. All impacts possible only indirectly. And it's a main problem for the mass adoption - people are the citizens

Loss of control. But they are slowly extending their tentacles, and will definitely be able to get a grip. Luckily, decentralisation will not be deterred, but there must equally be an uprising of use in the real world. Otherwise, only FIAT-cryptos will prevail.

True, not all governments do have only one view when it comes to things which means decisions would always vary anytime depending if they do saw that it would be either beneficial or a total threat for them.

Sooner or later we would really come to a point where people who do engage on crypto would really engage into centralized things. We might able to make dex transactions but we do still end up on using services or platforms which theres already a government intervention.

The one thing that the government does not particularly like about cryptocurrencies is the fact that they cannot control it. It is money and they cannot control it and if they cannot control it then that means that they cannot control the citizens that use them. They tend to guise it in the form of being worried about what would happen but this is the real reason

Not all the government's doesn't cryptocurrency.

In fact that there are some countries that loved it and adopted it easily. Just take Malta as an example, big exchanges are transferring there because its a crypto friendly country. We can guess on why other governments/countries aren't adopting crypto yet.

They do not like cryptocurrencies because they have long forgotten about honesty, the government is a complex system of schemes to enrich a small ruling group, and such technology as blockchain with full transparency of relations between people does not like those people who have something to hide from other people. If the system of state administration is transferred to distributed registers, there will be no room for corruption, which has been flourishing for a long time. The world is ruled by several people and these people will never allow anyone to break this system.

To run a government efficiently; it requires to make and follow certain regulations.  Each citizen has to follow these regulations. But crypto currency being decentralized,  if not impossible, though very very much difficult to control.
That is why Governments try to avoid crypto.

I do not agree that "Government does not like it at all". From where I am from, cryptocurrencies are allowed with some regulations. These regulations are placed to prevent people doing illegal acts using crypto.

cryptocurrencies are based on blockchain technology. blockchain technology provides alternative and decentralized solutions for traditional banking system. governments aim to protect traditional ways instead of anonymous systems.

Government doesn't like cryptocurrency because it's too difficult to control all cryptocurrency cause cryptocurrecy is too secure. It's impossible to find out who is trading or making deal in cryptocurrency so it's really hard to know whom has to pay taxes for their income. Beside cryptocurrency is also being taken advantages to commit guilty.

of course, as the Government assesses that crypto is not secure. and crypto is highly fluctuating so the system cycle all its is not clear. then an awful lot of negative feedback from the Government.

I agree with most of the comments here.  It's likely cause they don't have full control over regulating crypto, and don't receive the enormous amount of money taxing it yet.  Once they figure out how to, I can see a huge shift towards crypto.... since it even saves governments millions not having to create physical currency.

fraud is the main reason the government does not like crypto, see from last year there were a lot of ico scams that cheated many people, made worse by the investment business of hyip or ponzi under the guise of crypto which was very detrimental to many people. honestly there are many governments that have seen the potential of crypto and some countries have supported crypto. it's just that there is a lot of pressure from bankers and other politics that makes a government decide on an unpopular policy.

In my opinion, not the government does not like Crypto, but because they can not manage Crypto, they do not support Crypto. In the future, when managed and taxed by the crypto market, the government will take measures to promote Crypto.

The government hates cryptocurrency because they cannot regulate or tax it!!
With cryptocurrency it can be untraceable if you choose to be. It can be as traceable as you wish. Or If  for some reason you want to be taxed every year and pay for owning you can be. I am not sure why you would want to but do as you wish lol.

I completely agree with this yes most of the government are ruled by business tycoons and they play like a doll. If this technology is benefitting to them then they will force the government to bring this technology. If not they will spread false statements like it is a thread and this will surely end up to losing money.
