prices jumped up bigtime.  I have ordered about 27 gridseeds around 16-18 from zoom hash and six from gawminers.  not sure what has happened to prices.

I am east coast and gawminers is closer to me.  and today they are much cheaper.

purchase 5  for 650 use code 5more and it drops to 600  comes to 120 a miner.  a bit confused as to what happened here.

right now both companies have been saint- like to me.  just do not understand the price gap that exists right now?

My guess is that ZH got stuck with inventory purchased at a much higher rate.  We've all been caught with an order on the way when the price drops, you scramble and hope you push your inventory through resale before everyone else drops prices to match the new source price.

I do feel sorry for anyone running a business around this stuff, it's amazingly cutthroat out there.  ZH has been good but I will admit I'm looking elsewhere for the blade, prices are just not competitive enough.  Hopefully this changes, putting some stuff up on eBay to fund the new purchase so I've got a week or two before making a purchase decision.

yeah ever since the asic mining usb sticks last may of 2013 it has been this way.

I almost never buy bulk anymore. One exception was the antminer u-1's   I made good money on them as I was the second seller on ebay to sell them back  in Dec 2013.
Really for me I found zoomhash first  and he has been great.  I then found gawminers the have been great. Plus they are only 150 miles from my house. So it will be gawminers for now.

I have an order on the way from them today.  I will be running 25  five chip miners about 8250 khs.

Above post related...  ZoomHash, out of curiosity, would you consider offering a split-payment option?  Your site directs people towards the full value in one currency, but being able to split between CC/BTC would definitely sway me towards purchasing from you since I don't deal with bank wires that other companies need so I don't have to play bank transfer party to get funds to my linked Coinbase account. Out of curiosity, what are you running them on?  I've had mixed results on a pair of Win8/Win7 machines and have all but abandoned dual mining because it sucks so horribly on Windows.  I've been on the fence with putting linux on one of my old GPU mining boxes but want to know it is worth the effort. I found Ubuntu with cgminer (I think girnyau version) works best for me. I am also running a Beaglebone Debian image which works very well, I still need to test how many it can run, may also get a Cubieboard to play around with.
I tried win7, scripta PI, linux with cpuminer, bfgminer (on win) also tried running single instance of various miners for each unit with individual works on the pool.

ZH is a great seller and provides great support to their customers. They are a very good group of people to deal with and have taken very good care of me. I have bought 40 units from them so far and have had 2 go bad for which they have offered replacements on both occasions. I have been very happy with my experience so far and will continue to support them in the future with additional purchases.

Thanks for the info!  Ubuntu is actually what I downloaded, just lazy when it comes to reviving an old box.  This gives me some hope that it shouldn't be that bad.  Out of curiosity, are you dual-mining or just scrypt?

I can run 30x five chip units.

I use this hub  http://www.gawminers.com/20-port-high-speed-powered-usb-hub/   and one 10 port hub.

so I can do 30 with no issues.

I am at 25 waiting for 5 more. due to my house on monday.

I never was looking to do btc but if price jumps enough I will.

I believe I have almost 0 issues because I use the  seasonic to power them.

they are known to be very good to power.  oh one last thing i use a proper trick switch.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/261302980079?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

the paper clip move is not good if you power off with the psu 's power switch.  so the item above  is proper way to power off.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/261256368952?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

this switch is good if your psu wants a load on the 5v line.

We can beat anyone's pricing if you PM me or email me at mcao@zoomhash.com

Regarding split payments, use btc or cc to buy gift certificates. Then use those gcs as split payments Smiley

Zoom-hash sent me used gridseeds. They advertise no returns on their product because "its like trying to get a refund for your used underwear" Well, they sent me used underwear then...

They also guarantee same-day shipping on their website which they don't live up to.

I ordered on Apr 6. They didn't ship on the 7th or the 8th. By the 10th, they were shipping price reduced gridseeds, so they cancelled my order on the 9th and I re-ordered on the 10th. They were supposed to ship between the 10th-12th but of course they didn't meet that time frame either. They finally shipped on the 14th and gave me a $35 refund because they didn't ship on time.

I thought the OEM packaging looked suspicious because it had clearly been opened/used before (torn edges and black marks on the white foam). I was hoping they had just reused some packaging on a bulk purchase. But all of the fans are covered in dirt/dust. The undersides of the fans are dirty that can only happen if the fans are spinning. I'm appalled they sent me a used product. I have ordered from hash-master before and they took about the same amount of time to ship but at least it was a brand new, quality product. The gridseeds I received from hash-master even mine better.

Zoomhash may be a little cheaper, but I wouldn't give them any business again.

Here's a picture of Zoomhash's gridseed:

And here's a picture of Hash-master's that has been running for 3 weeks:

Hi Mattle!

Tried calling you earlier.

Sorry about your experience.

You did place an order Apr 6th. We had problems with verifying your address with our shipping software which you confirmed because you had a newly constructed house.

You paid for $164.99 each. We canceled the order and you were able to get the discounted rate of $144.99 for Batch 14 instead of doing the same day shipping. Saving you $240 for waiting a week.

We dropped off the packages on April 12th Saturday on the stated ship date, USPS probably did not scan it until Monday since they are off on Sunday . So our fault and apologies. But we usually ship our batches 2-3 days early as many of you guys know.

Regarding dust, it is not just you.

People who have bought from Hash-master and other resellers report the same thing here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=540331.msg6056219#msg6056219

and I think I can find a few more when I get home.

Gridseed does a "burn in" of all units for supposedly "48 hours" to weed out DOAs. I have a feeling that some of these units were forgotten in the burn in process when the inventory did not move as fast. I mean why wouldn't they?

The dust should not affect the performance of the unit nor the longevity, it actually should be more reliable since most of the DOAs happen during the burn in process.

As for the torn boxes, the boxes were reused from some RMA units since we received them as OEM packaged as stated in the description and had to find packaging for the loose units.

Regardless, we can compensate you in ways other resellers will not. Please respond through the emails we sent and I will try to call you again later.

Thanks! And sorry about that.

Anyways, once again, we do not self moderate on any of our posts. So there is absolute transparency for the good and bad Smiley.

I ordered one blade complete pack w/ all accessories on the 19th, will also update when it arrives! Cheesy  Happy days!

And thanks ZoomHash for the scheme to split payment with gift codes, however I ended up with some severely good luck on a few exchanges so I was able to push some crapcoin and pay the balance in BTC, so all was well in the end.

Hi Enuma, what email did you send to?

Your package was shipped same day: https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction_input?origTrackNum=LZ181383623US

International packages to some countries are a pain. We are going to compile a list of countries in which we will not deliver. It looks like Brazil is one  of them...its almost been a month. We will put a trace on the package from USPS and will compensate you better than any other gridseed reseller. Thanks.

Order number #2425 was not  delivered and emails are being ignored.

Thanks.

Ive sent emails to support@zoomhash.com and info@zoomhash.com
