Which is more important for us, more investment (ETF) or more adoption?

When i think about ETF, i think more investment will come. It is good for bitcoin and also alts. But how if it will become like late 2017? when majority crypto users are traders and investors who expect moon and lambo. And cryptocurrency become speculative things rather than digital currency.

Now we see the result. Crypto market hard to recover because no one want to buy, we only hold and waiting whales or random person to start a bull run or "institutional money" to come in.
Same person who buy and sell.

I think we might see different result if cryptocurrency have wide adoption/real usage as digital currency, because that will bring continuous real demand. and market recovery wouldn't be too hard

you are right that mass adoption across all fields will create high demand, I am sure that in the next 3 years everything will begin to happen. I think if ETFs have been approved and achieved, then mass adoption can be easily done.

For me the best way is to gather and attract more investments because even do there are many who would like to adopt the system but if there is no want to invest on it then adoption will become useless.Talking of ETF proposal that was just recently rejected by US SEC i think the people will not really care anymore because the price is stable but still we need more investments in any means that will pump up real demand in the market.

That goes to government for regulation, and that's only for real world usage (i.e if you buy bread from store). And as digital currency i have used crypto long ago without much trouble, even when no regulation at the time.

ETF is needed, but it is not necessary. We all see that after the bull market last year, the market has been in a prolonged downturn, which is very bad for the development of the encryption industry as a whole.

I don't think so. I'm not sure more investors mean more adoption. That will only bring more wannabe investor, who buy in ATH and sell when panic sell occur.

Yeah, it is not necessarily the same thing but having that kind of regulation will attract other people to invest and that means adaptation will follow.

I agree as well with the other statement above that crypto survived for many years without this but as we move forward crypto also needs some adjustments or changes as for past years only few compared to global population knew about btc or crypto.

Adoption would increase the overall number of users which would ultimately increase the number of investors and the total investment coming into the crypto.
But most of the crypto are not suitable to be adopted for day to day use. And hence we'll clearly have a distinction between investing and using crypto.

Once you have adoption noting else is necessary. In addition in all actuality the ETF is a bad thing for Bitcoin.  The paper trading is how the bankers take control of the markets.  They have been destroying the gold and silver markets with paper for decades now.

I think ETF will be very good for bitcoin and crypto space in general, currently what we have now are speculators who when their is FOMO and dump when their is a little FUD, the crypto space need institutional investors through ETF, they will make the crypto market to be more stable because these people buys and hold for a long time

I think the goal if cryptocurrency is the mass adoption into every market in the world, however to do that investments into different sectors must be made and I think the ETF will give new investors to the market, but since right now there are news that the ETF was debunked by SEC we might see a longer bar market.

In the first place, we must bear in mind that there are several ETF proposals and each one has its own characteristics. I think only one of these is based on actual bitcoins. Secondly, any value that bitcoin and cryptocurrencies can achieve thanks to ETFs is nothing compared to the value they would reach thanks to a massive and widespread adoption. Third, adoption will not only give more value to cryptocurrencies, but that value will be real and not the result of speculation. And finally, you must never forget that bitcoin and cryptocurrencies were created for the people, not for Wall Street speculators to save the day.

Of course mass adoption is more important than ETF. I think ETF case just only created the manipulation of the market.
If adoption of cryptocurrency occurred now, there will be many peoples using crypto and the demands will rise. Resulting the price will rise too.

Yes, I agree with you! Cryptocurrency is a speculative thing rather than a digital currency and it's really! If the crypto currency will be widely used in many spheres of life then the crypto market will surely grow successfully.

Both are important but the money needs to come first, to me this is simple if you see a prediction that the next day is going to rain you take with you an umbrella to work, this is the same, we know that bitcoin will become huge so at first investors will put their money here before that happens, and then years or even decades later the adoption will come, something similar happened with the internet and almost every industry in the past.

investment will follow after it if people uses it or sees it as something 'valuable or useable' and because of that too,its price will be more stable,unlike total investment.
with it(total investment) the price will get manipulated so hard just like now and it might be dead if people does not see it as something 'valuable or useable'.
but in general,both of it can be considered as one.
