There are several factors contributing to the current market state, many people invested in bitcoin end of 2017 without making any risk analysis some of these people have lost money because of the deep dump. It still too pre-mature I am confident that it will improve and many more players will join but we all have to act as evangelist helping people around us understanding how to use crypto and how can they can benefit of it.

Yeah, Investors are spending their money on ICOs and new projets but this doesn't explain the bitcoin's price fall since all the market is falling.

I think the main reason is that people do not trust bitcoin anymore and want to get out with minimum loss.

Just new investors will turn away from bitcoin and don't even believe in bitcoin. And I guess if an investor does not believe in bitcoin then they will not invest in altcoin or ICO but they will leave the cryptocurrency industry. Untill now, the price of bitcoin still has the highest price compared to other altcoins. So, there is nothing to worry about for some investors with the decline in the price of bitcoin now, or even they didn't trust anymore.

There are few ICOs that have become a success and even the ICOs that made a lot of money last year would not be enough to make the price go to the point of being in the $ 6000. I am of the opinion that the main reason why the price fell a lot and continues to fall is because of the regulation. when the price rose to  $18000, aroused the attention of all governments of the world, many governments and banks began to warn people for do not buy bitcoin. other governments started to say that banks should not allow people to buy cryptos and that they should close exchange accounts. this made people afraid to buy bitcoin, for example, see the case of India.

There are lot of alternative coins that is truly useless as "shitcoins". For the reason of slow development and worst case scenario is there's no real product or service at all. After finishing the pre-sale and ICO...and having a funds from different investors, the team went missing and no one knows what will happen next. This is the common way why the market is down and decreasing the liability of crypto currencies around the globe. So , the less money and investor comes, the less opportunity to crypto market expand or grow.

I don’t really think that’s the reason. Come to think of it, people claimed that the price as of last was pumped by whales and that’s why it got to the price rate of $19000+. So if that’s true, I’m guessing that the main reasons behind the price of being so low as $6000+ is. Because it was dumped.

And by the way this wasn’t the price as of last it was below $6k. Many people even were complaining it was very high and needed to be corrected, so that’s it– it was either dumped or something like that.

Yeah it is right many people are now investing in Altcoin because the prices are very low and they can hold lots of coins with small investment. On the other hand bitcoin is very expensive and average people are not able to buy just a single bitcoin. Other thing is that the price of bitcoin is not guaranteed and big dip can happen any time. That’s why small investors do not invest in bitcoin.

I am still confident that the drop in bitcoin price that we see during 2018 is justified to a large extent by the fact that people who have no idea about the cryptocurrency purchased a huge amount of bitcoins in November 2017-January 2018 and are still getting rid of them.

Very much justified I must say! One thing with this market is that manipulation is easy because a lot of new investors are greedy and highly ignorant. This level of ignorance is what has made them to end up making terrible decisions over time and then tend to start looking for someone to blame for their decisions.

People got greedy last year and then joined FOMO with all the mainstream media news and the zeal for them to want to get rich overnight with crypto mooning and thereabout, and then voila, the drop came and they are sitting on a huge loss.

In my opinion the main reason for red market is that all the predictions about the price in this year became false and people have dishearten and no more people are investing in bitcoin. The demand for bitcoin has reduced. Other factor is that big investors manipulate the market and they are sucking small investors. These are the two big factors which cause red market.

Crypto market has reached its highest on December 2017, then turn back to standard. It made the huge investment burned to ash, so investors are very carefully now.

Predictions will always be false because no one can see into the future. People can say whatever they like and assume whatever they want to assume, but in reality, the only best thing they can do for themselves, is to just simply stick with what they see and not what they want to see happen.

The market may be red, but that does not mean it would be red forever, a lot of investors are already taking advantage of it, and it is just a pity that while some people are whining, the market is already recovering and they are back again joining FOMO. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Me i believe the reason behind the red market is bitcoin is correcting hard due to the fact that the pump ending last year was so unreal and it wasnt going to last but i wasnt expecting all altcoins to still be down by now because it looks like bitcoin is not going away away from $6k.

In my opinion the main reason for bitcoin red market is market manipulation. Big investors which are called whales manipulate the market and that is not good for small investors. The result is that the investment capital became low and the price downs more than expectations. Now the only way to overcome this bearish situation of the market, we will have to increase the investment capital.

That trust won’t be hard to gain back when the hype starts and then, they will keep doing what they know how to do best which is to join FOMO. The market is red, so what ? The coins are terribly down, is that new ? It is normal for a market to experience a huge correction and we see it in every other market outside cryptocurrency every time, but this simply is always a time to invest into these currencies so that when they recover, you will be swimming in some good profit, but people certainly won't just learn.

There could be thousand reasons why entire crypto market is down from last year's December. But the core reason must be, all of us. Yes, like most other market, crypto-market is also driven by supply and demand and we are the root cause for creating supply and demand.

Big whales are manipulating the market according to their own. And another reason is so many false news spread about bitcoin through social media. This makes investors panic and made the price become lower and lower. And another reason some countries banned bitcoin as illegal. So from this year starting itself bitcoin has so many downs.
