investing in ICO is actually still quite worth it, but during this year many ICOs failed to sell it all because of market conditions which had been so bad all this year that it also affected ICO projects.

if you prefer to invest directly in crypto coins it would be nice to invest in old coins only because my experience of investing in new coins that existed when the market was very bad was the price of the coin dropped very far down and is now gone from the market because it is not has a price at all.

There are still some very interesting projects worth a look at. Some of them even tied the ETH-price to eg. 400$ during the ICO, so you may get nearly 4x the value if you invest in such ICOs.
