Haven't seen any updates here in awhile.  With Scrypt getting much less profitable and heat becoming an issue in the Northern Hemisphere, are there any plans to make a Coinshift X11 pool?

I think that developing a Coinshift X11 pool is not a good idea.
1st: I don't like the idea of multipool
2nd and most important: Creating a multipool for an algorithm full of FPGA?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I've noticed the VARDIFF is far too high for my gridseed blade, and a lot of work gets missed and rejects are too high. Blades like to run at diff 512, since there are actually two independent modules, rather than just one submitting the shares. Unfortunately, they cannot be split into two independent miners. Since it get's treated as as one, the VARDIFF goes too high and efficiency goes right down/ Has the option to manually set diff been implemented yet? Because this is otherwise a really nice pool. I've been looking for somewhere to switch to instead of nicehash, because I'm sick of spending most of my time getting work restarts, instability and constantly being retasked to different users.

Good news: you may now set a manually difficulty setting by using d=<diff> as your password.
For example:
Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://mine.coinshift.com:3333 -u 1L38dYqRtfZUMcKRN3Jfb1b1hvCqKiXE3Q.miner1 -p d=512

65% LTC profitability
0.00039 BTC/MH/Day

Cryptsy is up, the other coins have dropped well below 100%. The hashrate is 1075.634 MH/s.
Should we be mining LTC yet?

It was a good spike. Now we're at 82% LTC.

I've asked a few times, but not really got a response.. Why aren't we mining LTC 100% like the FAQ says?
18% is a LOT.

We do mine 100% LTC if our hashrate high enough and the other coins drop below 100%. However, even if we're mining another coin that is ~102% vs LTC, due to luck and spacing between blocks we may fluctuate between 97% or 106%, for example.

The more significant drop we saw today was due to Cryptsy's API being down ALL NIGHT. With their API down we have trouble estimating which coins are the most profitable to mine and we ended up not spending our hashrate as efficiently as we would have otherwise.

Honestly I spend about 20% of my time dealing with/working around Cryptsy's problems. Their wallets go down, stop accepting deposits, APIs go in and out and return stale data, etc. Last night I got pretty pissed and called them out publicly on their shit:
https://twitter.com/CoinShift/with_replies

But I doubt that'll help much -- and it's not like we can switch exchanges easily, the other ones just don't have enough volume.

I think it's a good idea.  I'd like to continue to use coinshift as a service.

Unfortunately, here's the reality:

I have a GPU rig that does ~3000Kh/s (scrypt)
I have GSDs and Zues that do ~10000Kh/s.

I moved my GPUs over to an X11 pool (nicehash)

GPU Payout 24/h:        0.00448848
CoinShift Payout 24/h: 0.00360998

The GPU rig which is 1/3rd of the scrypt hashrate has pulled in more BTC in a 24h period.
It's not always more, but usually it's pretty close.

Haven't seen any updates here in awhile.  With Scrypt getting much less profitable and heat becoming an issue in the Northern Hemisphere, are there any plans to make a Coinshift X11 pool?

What are your recommended diff-settings for variously sized miners (hash-rates)?

I should have gotten into Bitcoin back in 1992...

I think that's better without writing diff, don't you think so?
What's the main difference of setting up miners with:

Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://mine.coinshift.com:3333 -u *youraddress* -p x
or
Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://mine.coinshift.com:3333 -u *youraddress* -p d=512

Coinshift,

There is a problem with coinshift.com changing coins.  Currently our profitability is at 80% mining AUR and HIDDEN and according to your FAQ, if LTC is more profitable, it will mine it;  how come we are not mining LTC now?

Well I guess that Coinshift no longer supports his stuff since there is no real contact address for his site and no response here...

I've had an unexchanged balance of .002[and change] for over a month.  I've emailed them twice with 3 weeks in between.

No response.  I really liked this pool.  I'm disappointed that they never seem to mine LTC when other coins are less profitable, and the responses for support are falling on deaf ears.
