The 12ngg does not show in my coinbase wallet history...I don't understand this? Only the 36ii5 address does...

This does make sense.

From the coinbase FAQ:
Quote
Coinbase began implementing SegWit across our platform on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. We will progressively update all customer Bitcoin addresses to be SegWit-compatible (SegWit addresses) over the following week.

So, the 12ngg.. is somehow a different address (not from coinbase).
Did you use any software wallet on your PC / mobile ?

Yes I copied the 12ngg...into Kraken to send funds to this coinbase wallet...how does the 36ii5 come into play?

The 12ngg does not show as a coinbase wallet in my wallet history..but 36ii5 does?

Did you directly copy the deposit address from coinbase and pasted it into the withdrawal field on kraken ?

Because somehow there is an intermediary address (12ngg..) between your withdrawal of kraken and the deposit to coinbase (36ii5..).

Edit:
Yes I sent from Kraken to Coinbase...the 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj is where I sent both transactions...

I thought this is what was given to me by coinbase when I copied and pasted from my coinbase mobile app into Kraken, I did send the transactions 15min apart..what do I do?

Thats weird. But i believe coinbase switched to p2sh segwit addresses (starting with 3..) ? Or am i wrong here?
Did you use the official app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coinbase.android) to get the deposit address??

Yes I directly copied from the official coinbase app...I have an iphone. I went into coinbase and selected the account I named "Cash Out Account" top right of screen there is a button you hit which pulls up a screen saying only send BTC to this address...I hit show address and copy the address from there. As far as I am concerned the 12ngg is from coinbase? As the first transaction made it successfully into my coinbase account

Is it this app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/coinbase-bitcoin-wallet/id886427730 ?

Please verify whether you are using the official application.

Unfortunately not. The transaction from 12ngg.. to 36ii5.. made it successfully to coinbase.

This seems to be very odd..
Besides a malicious application which displays attackers addresses (and forwards them if the amount is too low), i can't think of what happened here.

I did everything on my iphone...I have the coinbase app where I generated the wallet address...after I copied it I then went to Kraken on safari and pasted into the withdrawal form.

What is confusing is how did the first transaction make it into coinbase? On Kraken each withdrawal shows that I sent to the same wallet adress..that being the 12ngg

Could it be 12ngg~ is one of your own addresses? Have you checked all other wallets you use?
My guess is you withdrew to your own wallet, then forwarded it to Coinbase, and forgot to do the second step when you did it again.

Note that it's always recommended to withdraw to your own wallet first, instead of sending coins from one exchange to another one. By sending it to your own wallet, you can always prove ownership of the address if it's needed later on.
The question is: do you own 12ngg~?

I think I got a hint on this.
Because the transactions and your statement can be linked in a "scenario".

But before that, just a list of possibilities:
  • Those SegWit addresses (inputs from [f1c52f3edd8]&[afc314f97a] tx) belong to Kraken which are the two withdrawals that you've made.
  • After 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj received the first transaction (0.09481172 BTC) you/he sent it immediately to 36ii5gNkZw2vAZ8TVk9dYXtVVbJxk68hiE which belongs to your Coinbase account that surely reflects as balance.
  • Now that you're convinced that it is "legit" you've sent the actual amount that you want to move to coinbase (0.62574 BTC) to 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj again.

The real question is: where did you get this address: 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj?

BTW, Only OLD Coinbase addresses starts with "1"

The real question is: where did you get this address: 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj?

OP has mentioned that he got that address from his coinbase mobile app (on his iphone).

I am still waiting for the answer whether he is using the official ios app from coinbase.

Either it is a malicious application or OP did use a intermediary wallet. That's all i can think of.

Could it be a coinbase error with the wallet address they provided

Appreciate the help...the address was generated from coinbase app...I have no other answer as to where is came from. How can I get my funds?
Does that app's addresses list reflects the address of your coinbase account?
Or is it the official app: Android / IOS?

Unless you got the control (Private Key or the wallet where it belongs) over the address 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj, your coins were lost/stolen.

Because, it looks like the owner of that address just passed the first deposit 'cause it's a "petty steal" and to make you believe that the transaction went through without a problem, then, just left the "profitable" balance for the next "mixing".

My Two-cents here is that you're a victim of a scam/malware, or try to open your mobile app if it still have that address in the list.

This would require the coinbase app to be compromised, right?
I suspect that 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj doesn't belong to coinbase (as their CS said)

BOB I did use the official app...what is confusing is how one transaction makes it into my coinbase wallet and the second transaction did not. I am royally screwed if I can't figure this out...greatly appreciate your help
My previous reply partly explains it:

Not sure this helps, but if the address you used(12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj) was a one-time address from coinbase. Then coinbase would have the would have the private key to address (12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj), depending on their program, they should be able to sweep it again into your account.

This could be the issue...how do I know if it was a one time address...I do not believe I was scammed. I generated the 12ngg address sent the first transaction and without going back to coinbase to generate another wallet address for the same account I used the 12ngg...could this be the problem? The main concern is that coinbase keeps saying it isnt linked with them...when clearly the first transaction went through but was rerouted? to another address beginning 36ii5

So what I am grasping is that I am out of luck?

If my second transaction is not posted but still showing on the blockchain is there anyway to access it?

On my kraken account both withdrawals were indeed sent to this address:
    12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj

Transaction #1 was then sent to
36ii5gNkZw2vAZ8TVk9dYXtVVbJxk68hiE....which is linked to coinbase but was not the wallet that the official app generated

Transaction #2 still sits in limbo..any ideas or thoughts on what I need to tell or ask coinbase? Also is there anyway to access these funds or use (CPFP) or (RBF) Methods

Can Kraken cancel or pull back the transaction at this point?

Any and all of your help is much appreciated!

Kraken says the transaction was successful so they cannot do anything on there end...Coinbase says that the wallet address is not linked to my coinbase account...however this is not true as transaction #1 for $600 roughly went into my coinbase wallet...transaction #2 is still sitting on the block chain and is roughly $4,000 which is a lot for me.
then you need to address this to coinbase support
make sure you pointed out you are receiving the 2nd payment on the same (previous) receiving address
I suspect this is a 2-payment-in-1-txid issue, which sometime the 2nd not get picked up by the system
by any chance you are willing to tell us corresponding address and both transaction ids?

How would I go about fixing if it is indeed a 2-payment-in-1-txid issue?

I copied the address from coinbase and pasted into my kraken withdraw...then sent again 15min later without going into coinbase and generating a new wallet address...sometimes coinbase gives you the same wallet address when transactions are close together

Ok, after take a look to the addy ( https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj ) we can discard:

    1.- Addy typo.
2.- Two deposits on the same transaction.

I don't have much experience with coinbase, but some exchangers change your depo addy after make a depo, you can verify if this is the scenario on the deposit tab in coin base.

The step to fix it, is to send a mail to coinbase support, and give them all the info you show us. Should be something like:

    Hello support

10 days ago i make a depo of 0.094 btc to my deposit addy, 10 minutes later i make another depo of 0.62574.  The problem is i only receive the first one in my coinbase account but the second one doesn't show in my balance, i verify the blockchain and both transactions has been confirmed: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj

Hope you can help me to fix this issue and recover my money, thanks.

    Good luck.

Thanks for your input...only problem is that my coinbase account wallet address history only shows 36ii5gNkZw2vAZ8TVk9dYXtVVbJxk68hiE this address. After I sent the transactions to 12ngg wallet address the first transaction was immediately sent to 36ii5gNkZw2vAZ8TVk9dYXtVVbJxk68hiE and entered into my account at coinbase...second transaction was not ever put into coinbase

This looks like the only way to get it fixed, the address starting with 36ii5 is your address , then it was probably like a said before that it was a one time address. And they should be able to fix it manually. Do what seioncorporation said.
