This news is nothing negative for the crypto market because Russia is planning to legalize those crypto currencies that have taken authorization from the govt. officials. It is somewhat better for the investors as the govenrment is concern in this regard.

At the moment, they're just banning some activities they consider illegal, not all of them.... I think they're just trying to implement some regulation into the market.

Yes, unfortunately I also read this news and I hope that these laws will not be accepted, because everything that will be done next will only worsen the situation in the market of crypto-currency in Russia, because here and so not a good situation.

I have heard that some ATM cashing our crypto currencies were confiscated recently as the police want to investigate them, so probably some crypto activities are already crimimalized.

I think they are not only worried about criminal transcations. Of course, it's important and I have no doubt that they are worrying about criminals. But I think there is also a fear of losing control of money. They can legalize it but they always can to ban it anytime too.

Russia's initiative in this regard is praise worthy, I guess. Government's concern in this regard will be encouraging for the investors. They are only illegalizing those currencies which are not complying with their laws and regulations and tax implications.

Even though that is just a rubbish article written solely to draw in clickers i want to throw my opinion in on this one anyhow. I think Russia especially has a huge problem with crypto criminals now and as much as i hate to see governments sticking there noses into the blockchain where they don't belong they actually have to outlaw some practices to protect the general community there from scammers. Most of the crypto phishing links i receive are from russian ip providers when i trace them back.

The Russian government is only doing what brings them income, and destroys what threatens their income. Never trust the government of the country.

The Russian politicians love loud statements and silly initiatives (like taxes on sex, forest mushrooms and so forth). As far as I know recently the chief of the Central bank of Russia went ti US finding a refuge  because she could be arrested in conjunction with big steals in her structure. I am sure that right now there are much more important tasks for solving in Russia instead of banning and legalizing crypto currencies. By the way there are not so much people in Russia who have a deal with crypto currencies and the most part of people do not pay attention on crypto currencies at all.

it is too early to say what will happen with cryptocurrency in Russia.  and what restrictions it will introduce, for this you first need to wait until the cryptocurrency is legalized.

Wahhh the Russian Government is very cruel, bro. Whereas graphically most Crypto users are in Russian Country, bro. If this is the case, what if the Russian Government is really serious about doing it bro. It is possible that Crypto users, especially Bitcoin, will decline drastically and cause the price of Bitcoin to drop.
