I sincerely encourage this.

I hope you guys can come up with an effective, open-source, decentralized way to fix the 51% problem.

Can we have a centralized GUI for all the coins so that it will be easier to maintain?  Maybe incorporate mining features into the GUI as well.

I don't have those awesome skills that those on your list have.  But if you need any beta miner.  I volunteer to be one Smiley

Do you want to start another altchain which doesn't make anymore progress after launch? ALL altchains besides SC2 stopped improving after initial launch, that happens if you don't have a good passionate developer and some good marketing plans. What should be different in this new chain?

I think this will end like all the other mine&dump altcoins, if it really manages to evolve after the idea phase.

The plan is quite clear:
1. Find others to do the hard work for you
2. Launch and praise it as THE NEW ONE AND ONLY BETTER chain (because you are in it)
3. Mine
4. No more improvements
5. Price stagnates
6. Dump
7. Profit
8. Price falls
9. Chain is going to die
10. People who made you profit have lost some valuable coins

And the name lol, thx for promoting SolidCoin, but maybe you should better call it SolidCoinLite  Grin

You have tried this before with TBX and GG, and now look where it is going.

LTC was the most promising altchain, why not helping improve it further? Maybe because you can profit more if you can mine at the chain beginning?

LTC is still the most promising for CPU.  The IXcoin/I0Coin/SC1 seems to be different in the sense that it cater to the GPU aspects.

Yeah they should help to improve LTC, it's already there and has good intentions, why reinvent the wheel? Because BitcoinEXpress has 70GH/s of GPUs sitting under his ass and some million of IXC/I0C to dump after exchange reopening...

Would it be even better if you can mine LTC with your CPU and the GPU intensive coins such as IXcoin/I0Coin/SC1 together?  Sure I support LTC to be developed.  But it would also be advantageous if we can mine the GPU coins together. Bitcoins are now at less than $3, some multi-tasking mining with existing equipment will certainly be welcome news to miners.

ATTENTION: This isn't a thread to fight about Solidcoin, Please stay on the topic of developing the project
Please ignore the Solidcoin people when they try and distract.

SolidcoinPro is the result of a number of us talking about bringing IXC and I0C back to life. It was suggested that we find a way to merge mine SC1 with IXC or I0C and make it a direct competitor to Solidcoin 2.0.

Nasakioto - If you want to be a part of this fix your broken chain and keep in touch.

Lolcust - Ideas? All help appreciated, any ideas for TBX or GG merge mine?

ArtForz - You are hereby conscripted as the lead dev, please report for duty

Magnet, SAC, DeathandTaxes, JohnJ, Coblee, TacoTime, BitterTea, and ANYONE else with ideas you think will help please respond.

SC1 is still very much alive and still going. Somewhere there is a derelict farm still chugging along on Difficulty 8404 I think with about 12 GH /s. I would like to see a SC1/IXC or SC1/I0C merge mine or if possible an SC1/IXC/I0C three way merge mine with a CPU version of maybe FBX or TBX brought in.

Lets work on the basics.

1) Primary Chain and Secondary Chain in the merge mine have different properties and innovations.

2) No Premine

3) Open Source on All Levels

4) Find a way to invalidate all the premine on SC1 or start a new Genesis Block. I really want to retain the SC1 as much as possible in its form. I would love nothing more than to take open source SC1 and make it better, more widely accepted and more traded than SC2.

I have registered the name http://www.SolidCoinPro.info, just waiting on it to resolve.

Litecoin has already proven, if we build a solid open platform with innovation, services like pools, exchanges and vendors will come. We can do this if we all work together.

Ideas, comments?

Just wondering; why bring them back to life ? Is that because you are holding a lot of ix/io/sc1.0 coins ? Or is there another reason ? (seriously just wondering, I'd think enough is enough; we have LTC, we have BTC, the SC taliban has SC2.0...)

I think LTC has taken the spot of what SC 1.0 could have been - the 'silver' to bitcoins 'gold'.

If the goal is to just piss of CH, sc 1.0 + merged mining.  But that effort would kinda be for nothing, as I don't think any vendors are going to take it seriously.

If the goal is innovation I think ya'll could do some great things, but the goals should be crazy things like GG did - just new ideas to test the limits of what can be done.

But please stop trying to get all these *coin experiments on exchanges until you settle on something you genuinely think is -worth- being exchanged.

@BCX

Will this...reset the ixcoin chain? So i know if i should stop mining like right now?

Also, TBX is CPU-based with a completely different algo, GG is GPU-based.

Hey.
Were you or ArtForz messing with i0coins blockchain yesterday?
My payouts  sent to some miners are missed in action. They are confinmed in pool's wallet but user didn't get them.
There is also no trace of them in http://blockexplorer.sytes.net

I think Nasakioto was writing about the time warp bug and having you fix that.   I think he is working on fixing this already.

I think iocoin has already been near dead a couple times.

SC1 was already used in SC2.

As you know I am a deflationist and would like to see a massive experiment on deflation.  I would not even mine to see 20% transaction tax with 5% going to miners and 15% deleted.   I think ioccoin with merged mining would be awesome for this.

Didn't you already make wild claims about SC1 continuing once?

For the first time, I actually agree with Spacy:

If you (BEX) want them to continue, put some work into it.
So far all I have seen is an awful lot of talk and zero code.
Hell, RS has put out more usable code (open source, even) than BEX so far.

Now you know, why he is spreading FUD for all the alt-chains? Because he wants to protect his main asset...

Bragging about BTC is a very stupid idea I tell you.

But since it is you it could as well mean anything, go on with your business.
