Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Thanks Satoshi for bringing us gold rush that everyone can take part of! Smiley

I'm also posting in historical thread as I started to explore and use Bitcoin. Just wondering, why very first source code of bitcoin is not available anywhere? The very first linux kernel is, for example...

That's strange, I never saw this post before. It brings back nostalgia to go back to 2009, a few years before I got into Bitcoin. Too bad the old Bitcoin forum isn't available anymore. We should probably make a archive.

Wow this is a thread from "Back to the future"  Grin

It feels like walking in the steps of dinosaurs, not saying Satoshi was a dinosaur, most likely he is a alien.  Grin

Just great to be part of this great journey. Thanks Satoshi whoever you are.

Oh gawd, now this thread will be spammed to death. Can we have this thread locked and all posts on this page deleted? I'd rather have this thread preserved as a historical relic than see it get tainted with a bunch of new guys putting their gum on the wall.

I was browsing through the old threads Satoshi posted in a while ago, kinda surprised they haven't been spammed up to death and locked already.

It's pretty mind blowing how far BTC has come since the start of this thread.  Just think of how massive it has grown in a couple years from being so small to becoming a multi billion dollar industry... and that is just the beginning of things to come...

And now I am adding my gum to the wall. To the people here in 2140, just wanted to say hello from a potential first generation Martian.
