The script pays the oldest deposit which is confirmed, first. So in your example - if deposit 1 confirms before the ponzi next has enough funds to make a payment, deposit 1 is paid first. If deposit 1 wasnt confirmed during the next payment run, it wouldnt get paid.

I think it is only fair to repay those players who deposited first.

I have made a change to PonziCoin whereby the last deposit in every round is repaid at 200% which means players will actually want to be the last player because they benefit from it even if the round dies. Hopefully that works over there and I will replicate it here.
