Interesting stuff, but you forget that those fortunes are gone for a variety of reasons. The richest man in the world is not Bill Gates anymore, it is a Mexican man from Mexico named Carlos Slim. No big deal, but this makes Mr. Gates, the second.

It's true, I just heard it today, but you know Carlos Slim has many many businesses as I've heard.... among his businesses, he owns Mexico's largest cell phone company and Telmex the main Country's telephone company. The third world countries, just very few people do have a lot of money and these are the corrupt politicians who keep looting and siphoning funds that belongs to the country in which they are meant to use in building infrastructures, creating a better standard of living, education, health, name them.

All the above, all they care about is themselves and their immediate family members. Those kind of people are definitely not termed as wealthy or should ever be classified among any wealthiest men, as they cannot even themselves come out clean on how they got the money, and hence, they find a way to hide it. Namely FED is the most powerful structure in the modern world because FED actually controls everything by means of dollar. However, for those who simply worked for theirs and are well known in terms of the social and economic value they bring with their investments and all, and are able to get their net worth accessed without any governmental worries on how they got their money, are simply the ones you will get to see. Apparently, a lot of people got their wealth the wrong ways and you would not expect to see them in limelight.
