Also--it looks like somebody has gotten cgminer to work in LTC mode with BTC disabled so you don't need to run cpuminer. Here's the comment:

If you don't want to run a bunch of cpuminers, I have posted modified cgminer sources to allow LTC-only mode: https://github.com/dtbartle/cgminer-gc3355. I have this running on a Raspberry Pi with 10 devices.

what thread does this come from exactly?

You can just click on the Author's name, but it's from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=477709.msg5534302#msg5534302

I can't wait to order more for myself. Plan on doing a similar setup on windows 8.1 though.  Wonder how that will work.

Please post your results, as I haven't needed to setup Windows 8 yet, but I may in the future.

Is there a way to launch all 50 miners at once or am I going to have to create 50 different batch files for each miner? and do I have to create 50 different workers on 1 pool or can I just point them all at the same worker?

I think on the first page of this thread at the bottom someone mention a version of cgminer with a link.

I have 12 just need to hook them up I can't wait

The easiest way is to create a start-miner.bat file with this contents:

echo on
mine.bat stratum+tcp://[pool].com:[port]

Then create a second one called mine.bat with this info:

start C:\Users\username\Desktop\cpuminer-GC3355-win32-fixed\minerd.exe  --freq=850 --gc3355=COM1 --url=%1 --userpass=user.1:x
start C:\Users\username\Desktop\cpuminer-GC3355-win32-fixed\minerd.exe  --freq=850 --gc3355=COM2 --url=%1 --userpass=user.1:x

etc. This will launch a separate command window for each minerd process from a batch script. If you want to switch pools, just edit the start-miner.bat file and put in a new pool, instead of having to modify each line of your mine.bat file.

From the Alphatech website "Shipping is targeted for Q2/Q3 of Year 2014". We are still in the first quarter, so that is a 6 month window. I am happy with my 7MH/s Gridseed setup that is making me money now, not 3-6 months from now.
