So what should this pool be mining? The actual coin? What would be the reason for that? That will happen once the coin launches. You're buying shares of the premine by mining max for the dev, just like you can buy shares by depositing BTC.

The biggest problem with this coin is the amount of coins. It can never be on a BTC market since even with 1 satoshi price it's too expensive compared to the amount of coins you get from a block.

Not to mention the fact that it's already been discovered that they were deceived into mining maxcoin for the OP to begin with, but they're still mining it.

you have to clearly opened the hash usage
It is the way to clear the issues,

I understand you do not need such a high hash rate to prepare the coin,
Even you are using the hash power for the other coin,
And than, where you put the user hash ?

At least, you have to make clear of usage,

My problem is I set up everything as the wecoin website stated. Put this info in a .bat file

stratum+tcp://stratum.wecoin.in, Stratum Port: 3333 cgminer.exe --keccak --no-submit-stale -o stratum+tcp://stratum.wecoin.in:3333 -u WeCoinPremine -p wecpass

I get a black screen asking for login, etc. What am I doing wrong?

You haven't been up front about the intentions of using our hash power for mining something else for yourself. If you had been more transparant about this from the beginning and told everyone that we are ALL PAYING FOR THE PREMINE WITH OUR HASH POWER.

Basically, we only get to choose to pay for this IPO straight up with BTC, or mine MaxCoins for you (or whatever the hell it is that you're mining).

The only thing new about it is that we have a new way of paying for an IPO. - Choose to pay with BTC or hash power.

Keep in mind that with all the controversy this coin has already gathered, you will most probably not get a serious exchange for it. But more important - you have lost a lot of buyers because of the ambiguous pretenses this coin is launched under. The FUD comes automatically.

I sincerely hope people won't give you more hash power or BTC than they already have. And if they do - this coin will only be one more nail in the coffin for altcoins. People are getting seriously tired of bullshit like this.
