Hi,

After reviewing a few online casino's that accept bitcoin, I settled on mBitCasino. Of the reviews I found, they mentioned that they accept USA players.  Well, I've been playing and over the last few weeks deposited about $1K in total via BTC and lost. Over the last few days, I've amassed about $4,000 US on their site.  However, I'm now seeing that they may not accept USA players to withdraw.

Couple questions:

1) does anyone via the US use this site succesfully?
2) if they won't allow any US withdrawals, do I have another option?

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

There are terms and conditions on every Casino people can read if they want to know about a country being accepted or not.

mBit's say:

Quote
Users from the following countries (“Restricted Countries”) are not allowed to deposit and play real money games: USA and its territories, UK, Spain, Israel, France, Netherlands. The Casino cannot guarantee successful processing of withdrawals or refunds in the event that player breaches this Restricted Countries policy.

If you knew enough that some casinos block US players and some don't, you should probably have made the effort to check with mBit before depositing that they accept US players.

actually if you didn't use VPN then the site should pay you , it makes no sense to allow players from restricted countries to deposit and then not allow them to withdraw
restricting shouldn't only involve withdrawals

but since from the US you should really start researching more and reading TOS cause many sites don't allow US players

Like those players mentioned above, online gambling at casinos are usually off limits to US players. I know there are a few that specifically welcome US players, but you should have checked first. Especially dealing with such an amount of money, read all the TOS before even creating an account. I would even go a step further and see if they have kyc. If they do, avoid. Because they will always pull that kyc card when you want to withdraw big amounts.

They were wrong to accept your deposit if you're not allowed to withdraw, however. But almost all these casinos do that. Happy to take your money but all sorts of issues to prevent paying you.

it depends on whever they ask you for KYC verification or not
they will do it, most likely ,since 4.000$ is quite a big amount
if you were using VPN to hide your location and breached their TOS, they will have all the rights to not pay you
but it depends ,maybe you can prove that you are not living in the US or they process your withdrawal without KYC
but if I were you ,I would read their TOS carefully and make sure you are ready for the questions they may have about your location and residency

US has a law against online gambling, and they are really really strict about it. There are some states that allow it, but the casino has to be operating from there, and even then, not all players from all states can gamble there.

It's not so much that US is catching people who gamble, but they will use their mighty enforcement to go after casinos that allow US players to visit and gamble.

Using VPN and another ID at a casino that has KYC is suicide. They'll ask you to prove your ID, then when it's from another country, bye bye deposit.

Isn't the point of gambling with crypto to give you total freedom? IMO you only need one exchange that you're already using on regular basis, probably one private wallet. Then you can play with most of the site as long as they allow you to Cashout via crypto.

I think the easiest way is to try and see what you can do with vpn. If not maybe if you have a friend overseas they can try to withdraw for you. After all when you deposit with btc and when you withdraw with btc there is no proof of where you reside aside from your IP. If they can't find that you are from USA thanks to their IP tracking, there is no other option. Normally, it is not legal to let USA players gamble on your website but that goes as far as you can track them, if they use VPN and they use bitcoin accounts then there is no way you can find people. Pokerstar and so forth do not let USA players gamble but thats because you have to deposit from your bank which is usually american and they don't allow that, bitcoin doesn't have that type of issue. So use a vpn and test it out.

Did you use a VPN? If not they should pay you because they took your deposit.

VPN is just to change IP and it should not be a basis why they will freeze withdrawal.
Most of the players (correct me if I'm wrong) does not really read the terms and rules in the site, they just gamble and play but for those who have bigger bet, they need to ensure that they follow the rules.

However, what is shady here is that they allow deposit even knowing a player is from us but hold withdrawal, it's not right, OP has been scammed.

Just found out that they have an open scam accusation https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5046526.msg46669430#msg46669430

You probably have not try other gaming sites that are allowed in you region and pays in bitcoin or probably you are just advertising and shilling the site in context.
There are still numerous sites that has such and even more features

Casinos restrict the gamblers from specified countries same as they do with ico's. From my opinion, surely there'll be an alternate way to withdraw requesting support from the casino making them understand that you haven't read the terms and conditions. As few users mentioned VPN doesn't have any role to do with the casino and withdrawal of funds.

Before play to online gambling make sure you read the terms and condition of the gambling site to not having a problem in the end. I don't know what is the reason the other country did not withdraw or having a restricted to the playing or anything about gambling maybe they have purpose on that. But those people who can play and withdraw they are lucky because there is no retriction to their country and In my country don't have problem.

Like slaman29 said, online gambling is not illegal in the US. But it is illegal for US citizens to play in off shore casinos located outside the US, for example in Europe or Asia. But you are free to use US casinos as long as you haven't been expelled for some reason.

That is right and that is why we should be reading terms and conditions of most gambling sites before investing.  Remember that most investors do not find time in how the get there out before putting money into any gambling system.

The important questions is what do they mean by "real money games"?Is crypto real money according to the US gambling legislation?I think that this online casino's terms of service are just a way for them to legally scam a bunch of users and get some easy money. It's like "you can deposit money at your own risk, but we might,or might not allow you to withdrawal,if you are breaking some rules".They don't clarify what rules are you breaking, since it's about real money games.I think that by "real money" the legislation means fiat money, not cryptocurrencies.

I think its not illegal for them to play on overseas casinos neither, its just illegal overseas casinos. There are casinos that are based on Malta that is also compatible with USA laws and have offices there which allows the Americans to play there. You can be based on anywhere in the world and can make your website legal for Americans as well with the right rules and conditions and what not and pay the proper taxes and whatever.

It is just that when a casino is based on some third world island country that Is as shady as it gets USA doesn't allow them to get american players since they are illegally run but otherwise any casino based on anywhere can allow Americans if they follow the rules and laws of USA. Crypto usually doesn't follow those rules hence why its rare to see a crypto casino based somewhere else and allow Americans.

Common mistake by those people who do experience such problem. They don't even bother to read it up the ToS of the gambling sites they are tending to play. They do only realize their mistakes if
they do already experience such problems.
