Definitely, this is time to buy! If you caught eth at $170 couple of weeks ago, then you are lucky to have sold it at $250 last week. A clear and sure profit! Now, to be safe, you can buy now at a low price and sell it after a couple of days when its price gets a little higher. As soon as you see even small profit, sell, then buy back at a lower price, then sell at a higher price again, and so on and so forth. Stop dreaming for incredibly huge profit nowadays, 'coz you might end up in a nightmare. Just play the market flow, and you'll safely gain.

A few months ago, ethereum prices continued to be low, so I decided to buy and then hold it, because sooner or later I was sure that ethereum's price would rise soon.

Ethereum's definitely not dead, but I doubt it will ever reach its all time high again... I'm pretty confident from the 150s though you will see considerable returns.. But 500-600 may be it without a successful release of Casper that really bridges the technology gap that they've been trapped in.

In my own opinion,Ethereum has still a lot of room to fall even lower.There's a lot of FUD being spread about what Vitalik has said about ETH and what he has not.At this moment ETH went already under 200$ and there's no valid reason why it won't go even lower.Not to mention that everyone is now talking about limited scalibility of ETH as it's using POW,limited adoption of dapps.... I think that as long as these problems aren't solved we won't see a serious bounce back.
Me,personally I'm done with ETH until further developpement is done.

Ethereum leadership squabbles are just one reason for the downfall. I even one news article that Vitalik and one of his co-founder Lubin doesn't share the same sentiments. And then the scalability issues re-ignites again followed by the threat of EOS on the other hand. So can also look at what others prominent ETH holders are doing, most of those ICO's are dumping their Ethereum. The same group that put Ethereum on top of the food chain is also the biggest reason why the price keeps on a downward spin right now. I'm done with Ethereum this year, I'll just follow where the money is right now - Bitcoin market.

Ethereum needs to be able to prove that it is capable of being the first really decentralized PoS platform. EOS is centralized and controlled by few people. This is the real dispute.

Ethereum still uses PoW and depends a lot on Vitalik and what he says. If they can have a decentralized and scalable PoS system, they will have a great future. And they will face major competitors as Cardano.

At the time you publish this thread, the price was $203.10, and ETH falls below $100 which resulted to a $50 loss some time if you bought at the current price you stated. Averaging would help you, buy at the current price now and hope it will not result to a further dropped, I guess we bottomed out already, and from $100, we will be starting our increase here and it could happen anytime.

When I saw that price before, I also think that price would not go down anymore but like many others, I was also wrong but didn't regret my decision.

the only hope that people had in the beginning of 2019 for an ETH pump was the fork which turned out to be a hard fork with a high risk of splitting the network into two and possibly even 4 or 5 altcoins because others were planning on running some shenanigans and create some alternative forks. long story short the pump was a big failure and disappointment to all the ETH bag holders who were waiting desperately for a small rise to get out with a smaller loss.

as the bug was found in the fork and they had to postpone it, the small pump buildup was crushed and the dumping began hence crushing the bag holder dreams once again.
