Ok! So the website is claiming to be a registered entity of Hong Kong. The registered company name is CBTCL LTD vide registration number 765676. The picture below is taken from the website as a proof. Now, I tried to search the Hong Kong company registry and found out the below particulars, Company name: CBTCL LTD Registration no: 69196670 (Not matching with the website details) Search proof is below, Anyone can repeat the search using the below link, https://www.gov.hk/en/residents/taxes/etax/services/brn_enquiry.htmNow, when I tried to search the existence of CBTCL LTD in Hong Kong, I stumbled upon another website looks exactly similar to the posted one but with a different domain name, http://cbtcl.com/Care to explain? Archived page: https://web.archive.org/web/20180912092335/https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5027129.0

Yes! And it signifies a clear attempt to scam people in the name of bitcoin lottery! I wonder if the owner has seen even 1 bitcoins in his lifetime while he is talking about 100 bitcoins as prize money. Tired of such unprofessional scammers!! They are too easy to catch!!

Hi guys.
The reason for the domain name change is when we first started we were called "Charity Bitcoin Lotteries" but were advised to change the word "Charity" as it might have legal implications down the track as we are not a registered charity. We also changed hosting companies and the domain name from cbtcl.com to cbtclot.com at the same time as the name change from "Charity Bitcoin Lotteries" to "Capital Bitcoin Lotteries", as the company we were with would not allow the Bitcoin payment page to open/work properly.
As for the Company registration number being incorrect that was an error made by our tech guy, so I've just been informed, who put in a receipt or document number from the company who did the registration for us. Thank you for bringing that to our attention and i will have him change that asap.
But as you can see, all company details are available for anyone to check, there is nothing hidden and we will only be too happy to answer any other questions you may have. We are definitely not a "scam" site and plan on being around for many years to come, or as long as Bitcoin lives. And yes, we have seen Bitcoins in our lifetime, i personally have been using Bitcoin for nearly 6 years and working with Digital/Virtual currencies for over 10 years.
Hope this satisfies your questions and concerns, and please, keep providing us with feedback on our site as we strive to improve the user experience every day.

On just reading up on their terms on how to win I cant imagine how long would that 200,000 tickets would be filled up and imagine they do have ridiculous partition of the prizes. 1st- 100BTC 2nd to 20th- 1 btc each, 20 referrals- 1btc each. What a generous lottery game.

Good job guys on checking out all those details. At OP, even if you say there is nothing to hide, for me the most important thing is proof of funds, and proof of delivery. Yes I understand lottery so you need people to fill in the pot before there is a prize worth that much but you should still be able to provide some balance of funds to ensure a sort of seed for the pot.
You should have done your rebrand properly. Are you also licensed to act for charities behalf?

This site reminds me about an older lottery that came to this forum earlier this year, it was called bitcoinjackpot[dot]global (dead site already). This new site has some similar thing with the dead site IIRC, such as the great referral commission, huge prizes, no provably fair, too much tickets to be sold (which will take forever to draw). Now it has more than 7,500 tickets sold so far? Wow, I wonder who are dumb enough to buy the tickets on a such scammy lottery. Or maybe it is just a fake stats to attract others? An old way to scam people LOL. If it is not a fake, can you prove a wallet address where the money is collected? I guess you wont be able to prove it.

I don't care how legitimate the site looks or weather they're authentic enough when there is 100BTC involved without an escrow. Let's assume for a minute the lottery is unsuccessful, who is paying the 100 BTC? Organisers won't certainly pay from their pockets. Doubt they will even refund if it doesn't work out. Until 100BTC is held in an escrow and ticket drawing is proved fair, there is no way this thing is ever going to work out.

Hi guys. Thank you all for your feedback, which is duly noted, and we will try our darnedest to prove you all wrong (not meant to be sarcastic either) Good luck with that. I am not being offensive. You are posting from a newbie account and made only two posts on this forum. So, the first thing everyone going to do is to suspect your intentions as we are talking about huge amount of money. It looks like it will take a long time for you to prove that we all are wrong.

Thanks for your investigation on the company's registration! I can see that we got some sort of an explanation on this matter, though. The website looks very nice, but the proof of funds would definitely be great, as you seem to be new to this market. And I really think your website's design uses colours in a way too similar to Fortunejack. For example, the "How it works" page has the black background, white text and orange highlights. Fortunejack logo is black with white and yellow text. Even though the articles on their website look different, this combination is colours in associated with them, just like shades of grey are associated with Primedice.

Just i explained or said earlier those owners wont really tend to use any amounts from their own pockets because that Jackpot will always came from the pockets of its bettors itself. 200k tickets would be needed to sold out before it would make a draw.I cant imagine on how long it would be sold out which means bettors would still end up on waiting like forever and as you said even 1 minute or less seconds lottery based games nowadays do easily die.How much more on this one?

I absolutely agree that 100BTC's an enormous amount of crypto for one site, and without an escrow the site's a joke, especially when this site's new. I hardly ever see anyone hit a prize that high even on more established casinos, and I find it extremely unlikely that enough tickets will be sold to raise 100BTC. I fail to see how this site would run without incurring a net loss, and not a lot adds up here.
At the least, a signed message proving this site own a wallet containing the purported 100BTC would help reassure customers that the site holds enough funds to pay a potential winner in the future.

Where will they escrow 100btc and how will they be sure that funds are safe? It's not a deal but they have to be trustworthy and don't cause any doubts in their potential users (potential because no one is their user as for now). First bitcoin lottery as far as I know was lottoland.com <-- is this website known among bitcointalk users? I think no, they tried hard, it will be curious to see how popular you guys will become. Oh, prove that you are legit company at first.

Extremely reputable users such as OgNasty or Monbux could be used, for example- they've all got extremely large resumes in escrowing large amounts of funds, and any sort of proof of funds will definitely raise more interest in this site. From what I can tell there's at least some visitors to the site that have deposited money, but it's not a whole lot and these users could be fake. I don't have a whole lot of confidence that this site's legitimate as the entire design seems rather cheap compared to other crypto lottery sites like lottoland, especially when the prize pool's supposedly 100 BTC, but we'll see how this turns out.

It is been a while since someone giving out this kind of site claiming that holding any big amount but never give us some solid proof, even smart contract will still have doubt on it but you have been here claiming you going to pay us a big amount but never intending to do that from the start

Yeah like this shit is old and I can't believe people still think such lotteries are ever going to work out. They clearly don't know the definition of a lottery or how it should be managed. Forget about drawing tickets, reaching the goal of 100 BTC will take forever.

Hi guys. Thank you all for your feedback, which is duly noted, and we will try our darnedest to prove you all wrong (not meant to be sarcastic either) Then that is good news for us all, we would love to be proven wrong,,, but you could start by addressing some of our concerns I must say none of us are particularly offensive here,,, it is simply the nature of how crypto gamblers are, we are so used to seeing newcomers popping up with ideas and then these ideas die because they did not have a proper think around their strategy. But if you are honest and open about every thing you do,,, sooner or later people see it and appreciate it. Take our advice. Start realistic, start small, start making things provable and gain the trust of the community. Trust is so tough to gain, so easy to lose.
