Strange as it may seem but Satoshi finally Sent the Alert(with Alert Key) Three months ago and i never see that Bitcoin People and News Papers tell this news!

Satoshi:"I am not CSW. Unlike me, he can't sign with the Bitcoin alert key."

On June 15th, 2018, Bishop tweeted the following(https://twitter.com/kanzure/status/1007441372209655808):
Quote
Satoshi alert key's signature of sha256("I am not CSW. Unlike me, he can't sign with the Bitcoin alert key.") -> 304402205d9ee1b1697ce3722b92a0931aae10fb76ab07a624d61b27ba5af39e85a1653d0220520 ed2e30ed1c89e5c876a4e7e8f9b04a8b43c3a37b55623cae964b3938f779a

if you want to search in the internet you can see the few websites that tell this news.

in this link https://web.archive.org/web/20110716145132/https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Protocol_specification#alert you can see this:

Quote
A signature which can be confirmed with a public key verifying that it is Satoshi (the originator of Bitcoins) who has "authorized" or created the message
The signature is to be compared to this ECDSA public key:

(hash) 1AGRxqDa5WjUKBwHB9XYEjmkv1ucoUUy1s (this address owner is satoshi nakamoto.)

Now you can Verify this Message(in the client or electrum or anything else):

Had read somewhere that all the early devs have the alert key. So it could be anyone - including Theymos. So, it may not be that Satoshi himself (or herself?) signed it. But certainly indicates that Craig Wright doesn't have the key.

i think they have alert key but with another addresses because i saw satoshi does not used the alert key before!
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Alert_system#History:

The alert system was hastily implemented by Satoshi Nakamoto after the value overflow incident on August 15, 2010. Satoshi never actually used this system; it remained dormant until the February 20, 2012 protocol change, for which an alert was issued on February 18.

No matter who is he or no matter where is he now. He is still a genius and would not matter if we know him or not. We should just appreciate all the thing he did for us.

Nope. The alert keys were publicly disclosed now that the alert system has been deprecated.  While it's almost certain that CSW isn't Satoshi, this doesn't prove anything.  Literally anyone can access those keys now, because they're harmless to Bitcoin.

i remember the Bitcoin white paper because this message is Political message Like Satoshi's Posts.
i dont think Theymos or Gavin can send post like this.

Lol. Like they have the time to read any of this. Imagine Theymos/Gavin going through this thread and going "Oh no, our game is up. They are on to us!"  Tongue

It's time to reveal the bitcoin alert keys. The bitcoin alert public key was unwittingly copied by many hundreds of bitcoin copy-cats. Folks, it's going to be an interesting show.

@LukeDashjr
Is it verifymessage-compatible? 😉

Of course, the real Satoshi could sign like this trivially - it was originally his key, after all...

i read in the bitcoin.it and i know Theymos,Gavin and Satoshi have Alert key.

Then someone needs to update that page because it's outdated information.  Again, those keys are public now and the entire alert system is defunct due to security risks from potential DDoS attacks.  Anyone can access them from that linked post.  Having those keys and signing messages with them does not prove anything.

Please edit the thread title as it may be misleading for newbies.  We sadly can't accept this as proof that Satoshi is alive.

Create a new key for what?  There isn't an alert system anymore.  No alert system = no need for a new key.

Full circle ...

"Craig Wright - The Bitcoin Alert Key Debunk

Our #Faketoshi came across alert keys recently. In 2018, one of those Satoshi alert keys was used to debunk him.

"I am not CSW. Unlike me, he can't sign with the Bitcoin alert key."

More info here: ... "
YOU ARE HERE !  Smiley
- https://twitter.com/MyLegacyKit/status/1189437099956678657

...

"Craig talked about this in August already, but here he explains his plans.

"The original concept of the alert key in the alert system allowed Bitcoin to have a freezing system. It would allow individual addresses, nodes, and much more to be stopped."

hxxps://craigwright.net/blog/law-regulation/if-gold-turned-to-lead/ "

...

See: Alert system
- https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Alert_system

"The function has been retired from the client. People such as Mark Kerpeles had access to it and since the MtGox assets were in the hands of the Japan police it was decided to remove it altogether. Unlike what CSW is trying to say, it had nothing to do with coins."

"Thanks for the info, Jingles. Is it even possible to use it as Craig wants to introduce on BSV? To me, it sounds like impossible as users choose their client, and court orders cannot be globally enforced either."

"No, to do what CSW describes would mean something different. This just displays a message in the client app. Giving someone a key to allow freezing of coins goes against everything that Bitcoin is about. Satoshi removed trusted 3rd parties, he didn’t given them power."

...

Now wouldn't it be hilarious if CSW put the same alert key system into BSV.

Then folks could send out important notification alerts to BSV nodes!

CSW is not Satoshi and BSV is not Bitcoin.

Prove me wrong !

craig is not a satoshi nakamoto, it is done because he tries to control the condition of bitcoin because the aim is to manipulate the price of bitcoin and only benefit himself, whereas if satoshi nakamoto is genuine then he should never appear because it will only make privacy and himself threatened.

04fc9702847840aaf195de8442ebecedf5b095cdbb9bc716bda9110971b28a49e0ead8564ff0db2 2209e0374782c093bb899692d524e9d6a6956e7c5ecbcd68284
(hash) 1AGRxqDa5WjUKBwHB9XYEjmkv1ucoUUy1s (this address owner is satoshi nakamoto.)

Now you can Verify this Message(in the client or electrum or anything else):
Message:

I am not CSW. Unlike me, he can't sign with the Bitcoin alert key.

Address:

1AGRxqDa5WjUKBwHB9XYEjmkv1ucoUUy1s

Signature:

HA9fB+p1bFIp6V2CddLKzNm7SQDhnhpSYyVO4sVuDgbFA+h03lW8hdEGBqlZBzwsQ6rmuOZgWPkjVEu44kAOSRY=

Result:true

please send your feedback

The thing i can't seem to grasp is why everyone assumes that Satoshi Nakamoto is really just one guy. Even if it turned out to be true  that it is one person, do you really believe that he would reappear and activate a key? I'm probably very wrong and your guess is as good as mine as I've only been here for a few years (since 2014) whereas he started the forum 10 years ago back in 2009. I'm not trying to discredit the guy in any way but I strongly believe he wasn't working alone.
Bitcoin came just in time after the recession in the U.S. It seems almost too good to be true. He was a very paranoid guy according to those whom he outsourced development work to. We've even had a mishap by chastising that poor Asian gentleman in the U.S who happens to have the same name except his name was "Dorian Nakamoto."

As if he thinks he's an authority on what's admissible in court.   Roll Eyes

How'd that last case turn out for you, Craigy?  Oh, that's right, the judge said:

Quote
Dr. Wright’s demeanor did not impress me as someone who was telling the truth. When it was favorable to him, Dr. Wright appeared to have an excellent memory and a scrupulous attention to detail. Otherwise, Dr. Wright was belligerent and evasive. He did not directly and clearly respond to questions. He quibbled about irrelevant technicalities. When confronted with evidence indicating that certain documents had been fabricated or altered, he became extremely defensive, tried to sidestep questioning, and ultimately made vague comments about his systems being hacked and others having access to his computers. None of these excuses were corroborated by other evidence. ”.
Quote
"I completely reject Dr. Wright’s testimony about the alleged Tulip Trust, the alleged encrypted file, and his alleged inability to identify his bitcoin holdings”.
Quote
"There is clear and convincing evidence that Dr. Wright’s non-compliance with the Court’s Orders is willful and in bad faith”.
Quote
"the evidence establishes that he has engaged in a willful and bad faith pattern of obstructive behavior, including submitting incomplete or deceptive pleadings, filing a false declaration, knowingly producing a fraudulent trust document, and giving perjurious testimony at the evidentiary hearing. "

What a loser.  It's obvious he's wrong, because if he were right, he'd be locked up already for being the criminal that he is.
