As a fellow elitist jerk, I must note that your incentive is rather flawed. A reasonable jerk (elitist, I might add) would join the pool after 48 blocks have been found and leave just after. Maybe you notice such a thing in your hash rate fluctuation.

A small bonus to the block finder (as pool-x does) or a shared bonus to all pool workers (like ozco does) is much more attractive as in both cases, a medium KHash will certainly get more litecoins per day.

Just a thought, and also I need to mention that I left the pool because my stales percentage was way higher than other pools (1.5% compared to 0.5-0.6%).

That is said with all the respect that goes for the work you have put already into it.

3phase.. thanks for giving me some feedback I appreciate it a lot!

I do know about the little flaw in the block bonus.. realized that about 30 mins after i started the first one.. However i felt if someone was going to have that kind of time to watch the pool or even create a script go for it.. I will say this.. the block bonus is not going to be around forever.. in fact we have 250 ltc put towards this. In fact we where going to end it but mhecker through some more in the "kitty" to keep it going since its fun in the irc channel

The stales has me a bit worried and I have been making changes.. plus we did run some performance testing on the server to see how far it could be slammed before we needed to upgrade. I am sure many of your stales came because of it.. 499 ec2 boxes was a bit overkill.

Feedback is how we grow.. and again I appreciate you taking the time to post up!

Due to a time change it seemed a few blocks where not paid out. This has been updated and corrected. All blocks found have been paid out 100% now. We believe in total honesty and why I double checked the entire ledger. No one brought this up to us as an issue but this was us double checking payments. One thing I have learned mining myself. You never mess with someones money.

Thanks for creating this pool. It has been nice to put my i7 CPU to work on something.
Have you considered changing the name and logo. My family finds it offensive (as do I) and I have to wait 'till they all go to bed before I log in.
The sentiment behind the logo and name resonates with me a lot, but still offensive.

Please consider.

First welcome to the pool glad you are enjoying it. I wont be changing the name as one day someone called me an Elitist Jerk and it made me laugh so much. It was also shocking.. hehehe

It also fits some of us well. 4 of us are over 100 khash .. with two being 500 khash.. this is what we call Elitist. These two people are not doing it by running a botnet either .

Many of us are doing this for fun.. the name just makes it funny.. The finger is just the icing on the cake

There is other pools out there. Pool-X is a Pirate theme and OZCO.in is a Kangaroo. Both good pools and not offensive. They might also be a better fit if the name and logo bothers you that much.

Yes I know I sound like a jerk.. but we do this for fun.. there is no money to be made running a pool.. We are Elitist Jerks..
