I don't think it will be possible, there will certainly be many global currencies created because there will be a lot of economic developments that may in the future use digital currencies and will use both digital currencies and fiat currencies for global currencies.
I know many of us recommend bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but i think only dollar recurrences can rule the world. Bitcoin is slowly banned and i think in future it will banned everywhere.

Whilst it would be good to have one global currency, I don't think banks and other institutions with vested interests would allow that. Plus it would take away control from national governments, so I doubt all the nations would agree to it.
There are also powerful nations that are enemies of one another, and they are even less likely to agree to a global currency.

For me its impossible. We don't need to use only one global currency. Because we all have its unique and historical currency. And i don't think all countries will agree if we only use one currency.

Could you see a future wherein the entire world shares one global currency, be it fiat or crypto? If I think it in a scifi kind of way, it would most probably be some digital currency that could all just use. It doesn't even have to be in this century. Maybe the next?

Yes I can see there being a one world currency and it will be crypto! Well digital
currency controlled by a group or a central entity , it wont be bitcoin or any other
decentralised currency.

I assume the point of the thread was to ask if bitcoin would be the chosen one,
or to see how many people think so.

I believe no country or group of countries would choose a limited supply,
decentralised currency like bitcoin. Bitcoin will exist along with any other system,
as is the case now.

Their is always a possibility that we can have a global currency under cryptocurrency technology but this will takes time as we are still in early stage where we need global encouragement to use crypto in a mass adoption and once we can have agreement from every countries then that's will start the adoption of global currency. Although it's difficult due to some economic differences and beliefs but who know's in the future a good leader will unite the world.

I think it will be back in the past, gold and silver will be the world's currencies, because the nature of money is to have value unlike currencies, because obviously both are very different and must be able to distinguish them.

This is really very difficult. There is still the opportunity for the world to use the same currency, but it seems to take a lot of time to make that happen. Anyone can realize that the economy between countries is very different, the world is always developing, so it is difficult to balance the countries.

We have bitcoin that is already acknowledge globally and it is the dominant crypto in the crypto market. However, if you mean a centralized currency or a real money being unified for all the people around the world then that clearly won't happen. This will only create trouble from countries because of its differences and cultures around the world.

This is why as we go through the technology era, never it has thought to create a single fiat money to be use globally. But, a decentralized currency could make it happen in the form like bitcoin.

Single global currency can exist only in the global state situation, other than that the countries are too different to drop their currency in favor of the new common one. Euro is only the singular case, and still not all countries in the EU accepted it.
This is regarding official global currency. Meanwhile, there is room for 'unofficial' one - currency that is accepted everywhere without any issues, but not officially confirmed as global currency. In this case, Crypto - not necessarily Bitcoin - is the ideal option.

it will not be possible because each currency forms a symbiotic pattern with each other with the latest price determining volume, if it is centered as a single currency there will be no maximum economic equality, this also applies to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies

using centralized economic policies will produce great injustice, it is best to maintain the liquidity of the composite stock price index as a determining factor of the many relationships between currencies that follow the value of the common currency, very compulsory comparisons to remain stable in economic sovereignty.

According to the situation now, every year has technology changed into higher level so no doubt since we are almost trial and error for digital processing and virtual processing but there is a big chances that Crypto currency in the future are the leading one currency in the world because almost all country are developed their own infrastructure for economic growth into a high class of economy.

I do not think Cryptocurrency is capable of becoming a global currency. Because our market has too many mistakes to fix. Unstable is one of the factors that make it impossible to become a global currency. It should only be a money transfer tool.

Now there are almost as many states as there are so many currencies. In order for states to start using the single currency, they must be united into one superstate, where there will be a single economy and a single currency. This could be a union of states according to the principle of the European Union. If this does not happen, then each state will continue to use its national money, since it is tied to the state’s economy and interact with each other.

the possibility of being a global eye can but does not have to replace and eliminate fiat in the whole world, because there is a role that crypto cannot do in public activities which ultimately must continue to use crypto.
the use of crypto as a global currency already has adequate infrastructure just waiting for its implementation in what year

Having one global currency I don't think it can be done with fiat and only cryptocurrency is most likely to do it. For now, crypto users must have felt that crypto is a global currency because we often see or even our own actors who buy or transact using crypto all over the world. We can buy goods or anything using crypto among crypto users here. So it's clear because crypto is a digital currency so crypto is very likely to be a global currency even though it will only be done in the online world.

It is obviously obvious that only Bitcoin has such a mission at present. It is not possible to circulate it in the future, but the value of coins in circulation is determined by Bitcoin.
I do not think that this can be accomplished because of so many reasons. I do agree that Bitcoin is widely used in many countries but it is still not adapted and accepted by a big portion of the world.

Moreover, it is in recession right now because the market is down and to be on the safe side, people prefer not to invest in the currency so it is not possible to have Bitcoin as a Global Currency however it will be possible to have it as an international and global currency in a decade or two.

No. Fiat is too established to be abolished just like that. Even in a decade or two, it will continue to exist. But what could and might happen in the future is more people using bitcoin. When this happens, then we can finally have a global currency that people can use when traveling. This way, people won't need to worry about exchanging local currency to a foreign one.

For me, there is no chance of having one global currency because of every country want to have independent currency that they will call for themselves. But it is good also that we have one global currency so that wherever you may go no need to exchange your foreign money.

I think there is a chance, but it is really unlikely in our lives.
Without own currency, country loses monetary sovereignty.
I don't think that would be improvement.
Global currency is ok, but not without local currencies.

The possibility is plausible but I think it will only work when the humanities works together to create something better instead of being greedy and taking advantage of others. Having one global currency means we are one in nature. It's not possible specially our society is kind of brutal this days.
