Help!  I set up my original Electrum 1.7.2 wallet without creating a public key or a seed (I didn't understand anything at the time).  All I ever had was a singular password.  Everything worked fine until my hard drive took a dive.  All my files were retrieved and moved to a new hard drive, however...I can no longer open my wallet.  It's now asking for a seed.  Can someone please help me retrieve my wallet information please?
Thanks.
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

For 1.7.2 the wallet file is named wallet.dat and is in the root electrum folder (not wallets sub-folder):

Can you locate the wallet file?

Place the file in the electrum directory (root folder not wallets subfolder) and run electrum.
