Suckerberg has just an interest in cryptocurrencies but going up to say FakebookCoin is coming soon is a little exaggerating. The fact is, he is more interested in the blockchain technology than the cryptocurrency. Even if he creates an altcoin it will be a centralized one and only used on the Facebook platform. While you can say Facebook has multi-millions users, the percentage interested to use the money on Facebook is surely very very low. People are just interested to use Facebook to complain and to post cute cats picture btw.

Or he is probably waiting for someone to steal the idea from....

It depends on the mass response when Facebook makes its own cryptocurrency, but based on crypto advertising bans, especially on ICOs, I'm not sure of the news, even though Facebook has said positive things about biitcoin and blockchain

I've read that Facebook is going to have its cryptocurrency https://cryptobriefing.com/ready-for-facebook-coin/
Since Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg as an entity is highly influential, do you think it would bring crypto in a positive light? I am thinking that it may raise awareness of cryptocurrency as a whole and not just bitcoin.

Facebook actively promoting a cryptocurrency (its altcoin) and Facebook promoting cryptocurrency are 2 different things. If anything, a Facebook linked cryptocurrency will be worse than fiat - you will have absolutely no privacy and you can't shift these coins to any other organization. I really don't care whether Facebook starts its own currency or not.

Alll true but perhaps relevant is that wechat bucks are the most popular cryptocurrency on the planet with ten billion or so transactions per day, so the social media companies still have real sway in terms of what currency we use (we use the worst one we can, Gresham's law).
I am thinking that if Facebook gets to have something like wechat's, it would boom. There are many who are already wary of Facebook but still I think the majority of its population would follow/buy whatever it is selling. They are really influential. If online stores could sell useless items just using their ads, imagine what they could do if they promote their own crypto.

Of course Facebook in these days is the most usable social media site all over the world. If Facebook wants to promote cryptocurrency, people will blindly trust their currency because it is an authentic site and people trust it the most. The value of Facebook currency may be more than bitcoin because bitcoin is controlled by someone in wrong direction.

I think he is asking about Facebook’s own currency because I also heard that they want to create their own crypto in the coming days, and that was the reason that they banned other currencies on Facebook. To some extent it is good because the people will have another authentic and reliable currency for future investment. Facebook currency will make its position in the market very soon.

Facebook is the biggest social media in the world and the direct effects of crypto application by Facebook will have a real impact on the development of Crypto. Facebookers will continue to talk about crypto and this will make knowledge for everyone, of course, the negative impact will also arise by itself

crypto in a positive light?

Any light would be good so in that sense you can say various publicity by very large companies would amount to a positive.   However its extremely unlikely Facebook creates a proper independant currency, they are more likely to take the Ripple XRP route which is horribly centralised control.  Its just far too tempting to cut out all that mining part and work and transmission in hands of people not on the companies agenda.

I cant imagine Facebook handling freedom of all users to choose their own path with their creation.   They will always gift bias to themselves, I've not heard of zuckerberg being especially idealistic and BTC is a kind of dream made real still unfolding

This is actually a huge possibility. Although Facebook went through a lot of issues with data privacy, Cambridge Analytica, Zuckerberg just being alien-like, people still continue to patronize it and it continues to thrive. It seems to me that whatever it promotes, it just sells.

I think Facebook and its founder Mark Zuckerberg have nothing to gain by running their own crypto-currency. Facebook is a highly centralized company, while the most successful crypto currencies are decentralized money by definition. So these two aspects are incompatible.

So, no, I don't think their will be a Facebook crypto. They could have accepted and implemented some form of crypto payment if they wanted to do so already. But they obviously don't want to do that.

However, Mark Zuckerberg is not stupid, and he knows the potential of the crypto space. For example, he has already expressed interest in acquiring Coinbase.

Mark Zuckerberg is bright man and he knows where to stand,he’s popularity is respected and he will never risk this from the scamming issue of cryptocurrency

This man is already rich with facebooks good ambiance and good name so why need to take a chance here when he was doing great already

On the one hand, it would raise huge awareness that is for sure. It is tough to tell whether it brings an overall good light to the crypto, it also depends on how they would use the coin.

Those intention of Mark Zuckerberg are good if they promote cryptocurrencies well because they use it too in their socialmedia platform, so other altcoinwill affect and and be promoted in positive way, in that case altcoins will be recognizable to all people and those potential investors will amaze of the cryptocurrencies do.

I know that up to now Facebook has been used to promote altcoins and that was very successful
with the presence of various blockchain platforms, I think that makes blockchain and crypto technology more familiar to the public
and I hope the next 5-10 years will be a single coin for the world

Facebook is one of the largest social networking sites in the world.  If facebook accepts advertising for crypto again.  I think there will be some good and positive news for the crypto market future.

That news was out some months ago and it was rumoured to be facecoin. I do not know why it is still not out  yet. If it happens that will help boost cryptocurrency and make it more popular because of the spread Facebook has. The coin is going to be used for all Facebook advert payments.

It will raise awareness as they will call their coin as a "crypto" and that will give exposure to the facebook users that they have cryptocurrency. And by that time they announce it, they are giving an idea to the people on what crypto is.

And this also gives the idea the facebook is supporting cryptocurrencies and this is where they are heading after announcing the support of blockchain.

There is already a lot of promotion that has to do with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on Facebook, and I was once seeing them on Instagram too. So this is not a new thing, they were doing it before they banned binary options and cryptocurrency promotion on their platform, which they later reversed.

I don’t think there is something else we all can do, enough has been done, everyone has their own business and you can’t force them to invest in Bitcoin, they will only do so when they feel like.

I think it can bring crypto into positive and it can make their member see more about cryptocurrency. I think this can help crypto to spread in many people which lives in many places so at least, they can learn from the Facebook, and they can search on the other website to find what they need. And if the other sites can do the same as Facebook, I am sure that cryptocurrency can become globally and cryptocurrency can grow fast in the future. I think this is another promotion about cryptocurrency that Facebook can do although they want to introduce their crypto to the public its help cryptocurrency to grows more.

Currently there are many projects promoted on facebook and this is very normal. I feel that the signature and twitter campaigns are often more attractive to investors. facebook has almost no impact on ICO projects.

Well, if Facebook starts advertising cryptocurrency, I think that is one of their support. well, for now, it seems like Facebook is starting to support the development of crypto. I just hope something best happens.
