I think that controlling market conditions is purely from the presence of buyers and sellers while this bitcoin price can only affect other cryptocurrency, any bitcoin price movements will be used as a benchmark with other cryptocurrency price movements.

Most people believe that the price of altcoins' is determined by the price of bitcoin and that they tend to follow it's market movements.

I partially disagree with this. I have studied prices of coins and tokens on CMC and the fluctuations of each currency seems to be unique and independent of any other digital currency. Some show strong pumps when BTC goes down and some heavy dumps when BTC is rising.

Undoubtedly, there are market forces and factors which affects most currencies, this is not influenced by bitcoins price, it rather controls bitcoins' price as well as others.
So when trading or investing, make sure you treat each currency differently as they have different utilities.
Sad to say but all altcoin are dependent in Bitcoin's value. It has already proven in the past bear market. There are event that affect by altcoin value like updates on their development but they cannot ignore Bitcoin's movement.

I think bitcoin really controls the market, because bitcoin is the king of all digital money and its value is very influential, if the value of bitcoin goes down surely all the value of digital money will experience a decline in value.

Crypto market is very bound by bitcoin, and that is the fact. bitcoin currently dominates every price turnover for all altcoins that have been traded. both decline and growth will affect the crypto market cycle.

No, Bitcoin cannot control the market because market is unpredictable, in other words no coin can control it. Bitcoin price is depend the demand of it, also when BTC goes down the other crypto is also goes down it means other crypto depend to the current situation of Bitcoin price. While market the possible can control to it is those investors because they are the once hold lot of crypto.

Of course there is no doubt about it because when there is a bitcoin price variation occur most of the time a similar effect happens to altcoin prices and I think that happens mainly because bitcoins huge market dominance in the crypto world and also because bitcoins demand and popularity many people determine the crypto market progress through bitcoin prices so agree with the above

It could be said to be so, but it could also be caused by the increase in demand on each coin, as happened on July 28-29 2018. At that time Ethereum rose earlier than Bitcoin, if not mistaken the time difference Ethereum and Bitcoin increases are around 3 hours.

I think Bitcoin does not control the market. The sharks are doing it and Bitcoin is just a tool. If you are a trader you should grasp the psychology of the market. that is essential.

I think bitcoin has not have the complete control on the crypto market but it has an impact on the market. That's why when the price of bitcoin has going towards the downward direction that time most of the market have becomes red and many alt coins price also goes to downward direction.

no, I'm not sure if bitcoin controls the market, as evidenced by the current state of prices, when bitcoin prices slowly increase, there are still many altcoins that are still falling.

Bitcoin is the pioneer in the crypto world since it is pioneers it became a base lines of all  the crypto currency around the world usually if bitcoin price will lead all the prices movement's if the the bitcoin price goes down most likely most altcoins will follow.

Bitcoin has more weight in the market because it is more liquid. Investors sell less liquid alcoins and buy bitcoins. As in all markets - a more liquid asset want to buy everything - fewer risks.

You may be right but most of the time it looks as  Bitcoin is determining the going on in the market. I know market sentiments which results as an impact of news around the economic world. Although some times company captains pronouncement will also move the market depending on the statements and how the market sees it. Some times the whales will come to the market and changes the course of things there. So Bitcoin will many times lead the way.

I think Bitcoin does not really control the market but its value always has a big impact on the market and many people mistakenly believe that it controls the market. In addition, if the bad news about Bitcoin is spread, the market will be seriously affected when Bitcoin drops.

I believe that yes, indeed, the whole market depends on bitcoin now. But in the future, it is possible that the altcoyins will get rid of him and the price will not change with bitcoin

The crypto market is mostly measured by the value of Bitcoin so tendencies related to its growth or decline in value influence most directly on altcoins!

every coin in the cryptocurrency world is somehow tied to the bitcoin as it has the final reference value of every coin or token and that includes the ethereum option. directly or indirectly, the bitcoin completely controls the market from its own domain because you must change or exchange your tokens to either ethereum or finally bitcoin.
What do you convey is the true existence of bitcoin pioneering cryptocurrencies? I think the growth and development of other crypto currencies is always related to bitcoin, which for now still has a high value and price.

Bitcoin is the center of the altcoin, so it's only natural that all prices follow the Bitcoin movement. I also don't understand why, but that's what happened.
Bitcoin and altcoin are different from token coins, which I know token coins follow the Altcoin movement. so don't mix between Bitcoin, Altcoin and token coins
