Price is inattractive. Bitcoin grew for 20%, and ABY dropped to 40%.

I think ABY has stayed around $0.007 USD for a very long time. Bitcoin value is growing, but ABY exchange price is steady.

Update on SegWit rollout.

Activating SegWit on ArtByte requires consensus of 80% of the miners. Every miner we have been able to identify and talk to has upgraded to the latest version (v13.01) which has SegWit enabled.

There is still one or perhaps a few miners who have not upgraded and are using the old v8 code. Since they have not upgraded, they are in fact blocking ArtByte from enabling SegWit.

This blocking may or may not be intentional.

We ask all miners to upgrade to v13.01. Binaries for Win, MAC and Linux are available on our main site: https://www.artbyte.me/get-started/

Binaries only?  No source any more?  What's in those binaries?

The official ArtByte pool is closed.

We will be manually sending balances to the ArtByte wallet address listed on each pool account. Unfortunately we could not give pool users advance notice, for reasons explained below.

We have identified a number of multiple accounts owned by single users that are abusing the block bonuses, by repeatedly logging in to one account and after a hash being accepted, immediately logging out of that account and into another one to qualify for multiple bonuses. These accounts will not receive a payout.

The bonus was designed so that users, new to crypto, could mine using their CPUs and earn some ArtBytes to get started. It is a shame this is being abused by experienced crypto users to the point that it is now too costly for ArtByte to offer.

You can mine ArtByte on these pools:

It's not USD price you should worry about. Make your decisions based on satoshi price. After all you'll probably be trading back to bitcoin eventually.

Any update Segwit?

They need some miners on SegWit enabled pools to get them to the 80% activation hump. They are so close, but not quite there. If I had an Antminer L3+ donated to me, I'll gladly help! Wink
