No altcoin can harm bitcoin and its existence as bitcoin is oldest and first coin of the market and it established its supremacy in this market. There are lot of altcoins but bitcoin dominance is still there an it has more than 50% of total market value of the market.

BTC - and its rabid followers - needn't worry about the number of altcoins there are in existence. What they have to worry about is a very small number of tokens that can do what BTC cannot, which is enable fast, cheap, transactions with a token that has price stability.
This is the only thing that can be universally accepted as a medium of exchange, and BTC will never be able to fulfill those requirements.

Altcoins are a threat to bitcoin and a joy to us. A new altcoin can be more modern and faster. Bitcoin was a pioneer but his time is already passing. It's too outdated.
It does not seem that the altcoins could threaten Bitcoin in any particular way. Bitcoin is a value in itself and it creates market events and has more than 50% market share. Altcoins usually follow the direction in which bitcoin is headed.

I say this all the time but, for some reason, BTC cultists won't believe it. What I'd like to see is one of them offer proof that this isn't the case.

Exactly mate. Well, as we all know bitcoin is a dominant crypto currency in which most altcoins relying on its value. I don't think it is a threat since as we know altcoins is very far on it's capability compare to bitcoin but in some point it will depends on the demand of many users but for me bitcoin is so great among other crypto currency here in the cyberworld.
This is another fairy tale that constantly makes the rounds. Our token, for example, has been built on an entirely different blockchain for an entirely different purpose. If BTC went to zero tomorrow it would have absolutely no affect on us. We depend on BTC's value? Get a grip.

In my opinion, this coin cannot be challenged by any altcoin in near future because its leadership is unchallenged. As no any coin showing the ability to cross the bitcoin value.

There is no any chance to threat the all altcoin to the bitcoin in whole life of it. Bitcoin is the first crypto currency in the world and no any coin can beat to the bitcoin because it has become the first need of every investor in the whole world.

The competition still exists, this can be seen in the ever-changing list of crypto currencies, it's just that bitcoin still has the highest volume as the most expensive coin at the moment. There were altcoins that were more expensive before, but they were eventually displaced by sentiment with a low purchase volume, eventually falling by shifting the concentration of the holder. I think the legality factor will have an impact on increasing volume, and if one of the altcoins is the first to be legalized by many countries, bitcoin will experience a decrease in volume.

I think many Altcoins were created to increase the value of Bitcoin because there are many Altcoins based on Bitcoin to develop. When Altcoins are growing more and more, i think that it can not threaten the existence of Bitcoin.

I am too utopian to argue that there can be one single cryptocurrency in the world. Each country has its own currency, so why in cryptocurrencies can not be so?

There is more and more kind of altcoin in the market , it can decrease the marketshare of bitcoin, but I ave strong belief that bitcoin play an important role and have huge impact on coin digital
Despite this huge number of tokens on the market (over 2 thousand now), Bitcoin remains the best cryptocurrency. Its dominance is more than 50-54% all the time.

More and more ICO projects are coming based on many major currencies and specially in this year the trend increased rapidly with many reputed organizations that are in various industries and trades decided to start there own digital currency to make there business more effective and efficient in order to gain more profit. Can these new launching Altcoin's make a negative impact on bitcoin's expansion in the future because we all know in order to increase the demand, usability and accessibility of bitcoin it should be widely use in most business areas but if Altcoin's take these opportunities how it can achieve its vision to become a widely used digital currency
Altcoin will never be a threat in Bitcoin progress because it is the founder of all cryptocurrency. No matter how enhance the technology of new altcoins they will still bow down once Bitcoin started to rise.

A big No! At this present situation, More than 2000 Altcoins have in the crypto market. But still bitcoin dominance the crypto market about 52 %. So, There is no chance for Altcoin to overcome bitcoin's value and fame. A lot of people still means bitcoin is the cryptocurrency. So, No other coin can take place of Bitcoin.

I think not because altcoins are always be dependent on bitcoin no matter what the circumstances. Alternative coins servers great purpose as well, they provide great projects that benefited crypto currency other than bitcoin. With large numbers of altcoins in the market that truly legit projects, it is truly great as a healthy competition who truly doing well climbing up the coin market cap ranks and apparently bitcoin will always be the number one.

Too much altcoins I think in the system will never and can never be a threat to btc. There are so many coins which came after BTC and now we cant see them. EIther its not working or people have lost interest in it. BTC still reigns and people are using it for payment of goods and services.

Bitcoin alone cannot fulfil the goal of the Blockchain technology. There is more to the Blockchain than what we know today. As the years go by, new coins will be created in an attempt to bring new solution to a problem in our society. Each altcoin has its goals, product and idea it sells.

Altcoins, if they can affect BTC, only as an amplifier. Since all alternative currencies are directly dependent on BTC and an increase in the number of altcoins will only increase the value of bitcoin in the financial market.

I do not think the development and existence of altcoin will affect the survival of bitcoin. The truth is that bitcoin is the king of crypto, and altcoin is always dependent and affected by it. Altcoin will survive and develop based on bitcoin and when altcoin no longer attracts investors, it will be excluded from the electronic money market. So altcoin is not a threat to bitcoin.

I do not think that any of the altcoins can suppress bitcoin. It has a unique technology that has no analogues, and the trust in it is now the highest. And if the cryptocurrency will be accepted by the world, then only in the form of bitcoin.
