Gambling addiction becomes more popular with young people over time

Yeah we have the same observation mate,as this is what I’ve always observed whenever i go to the casino ,i use to see many older or mature people before but nowadays the trend goes the other way and itsmore youngsters what you find in gambling places,like here in my region when there’s supposedly older people that plays local gamblings

But now,i find younger versions specially in card games and the local chicken or cockfighting,in which younger generation is dominating.things thats not common for me and maybe for many people here

This may be the good sign for the casino or gambling site owner as young people would keep playing till they won money and may get addicted easily as compared to matured people. On other hand as a society if you consider it is a alarming sign that youngster are now getting more into gambling at very young age which could even threaten a society at some point of time if things continue this way for too long.

IMO young people tend to be more addicted in gambling because in this young age,they always wanted to explore new things especially those that involves money.But unfortunately,these young people cannot control their own emotions so they end up being addicted just like in gambling.

After recent changes to the merit system, I am trying to do something useful and contribute to the forum. And this is what I collect, hopefully it will change my merit.

That's a no-no! (The Only thing you should do for merits is writing great posts without expecting a merit. If you do something just for the reward, you don't fully enjoy it or you don't do it out of your general concerns.) People usually don't tend to merit posts which are written just for the merit sakes.

Please let me know your opinion on this issue and if you have enough power, what would you do to solve this

lol thats slightly harsh and everyone deserves a little merit for just an attempt to be part of the forum in a positive way.   Definitely dont ask for merit but I thought this was a reasonable effort and I allocate merit also in order to how much a person has or requires to progress.   Having zero but making a half decent post makes it very likely I'll give at least a merit but yea I never do this when asked because its only given incidentally.


Problem with young people especially is habits are formed very easily when young, nobody should be targeted or sold a gambling product below 18 or they may form destructive habits for the rest of their life.    As adults I see far less likely a problem though some always have to be careful of course but its wrong to take advantage of inexperience like this for a profit

Completely disagree with this. How are they even going to ban gambling sites? They'll just pop up somewhere else.

Regular casinos have a way bigger house edge than some online casinos, I wouldn't be happy if those online casinos just became illegal.

They can't just ban gambling sites that easily. If a country bans a gambling site, people will still find a way to gamble or to bet their money, that is how hard to ban gambling in a certain country.

With that being said, the only way the government can have a part of this sites is to increase it's tax giving more money to the government and that government can use this money to improve and develop more their country. The way parents can stop their children from gambling online or offline is to take care of them. I just about us, controlling our selves is a must and gambling isn't bad, it may help us to relieve our stress after whole day work. Whether young people can control their emotions better or worse than adults is a big question. Imo adults with their weakened nervous system may perform much worse in that regard. Yeah I agree with you that gambling can release the stress of a certain person but for me, there are some things that I can do just to release my stress. Playing games, sleeping or playing sports are the things I do if I feel I'm stressed.
