Ripples ascent happened so quickly I was not expecting to see it with the #2 position.  I sat in shock when I saw it.  Is the "banker" coin going to reign supreme in 2019 and go after Bitcoin.  Bankers rule the world.  It would not be surprising to see it be the #1 coin.  If Bitcoin is not the bankers invention then I do believe Ripple may win.

Yeah i was observing this as well, ripple was showing huge volume increase for few days and that is the reason they have taken the spot from eth at the moment but only time will tell if xrp can maintain that volume or not.

First thing first, ETH is not holding the second positions since years.
XRP has dethroned ETH in the earlier bull run too and that was very short lived. ETH regained the 2nd position again with matter of days and the same is going to happen again soon. Everytime there is a major pump in XRP, it is followed by even a bigger dump and thats the time when it goes down back to 3rd or below positions.

This is good that both Ripple and Ethereum started to grow again. Now Ripple started faster but that doesn't mean that it will stay like this forever. I think Ethereum could take leadership again.

Anything that goes up most surely come down! Expect a large dump on XRP while ETH will surely come back for its position

I think same thing happened last year when Ripple was pump, I think it is temporary and very soon Ripple will fall back to its position.

Ethereum grew today along with XRP. Nearly all coins are green with few up by more than 10%. I hope this is the start of something new, something good.
I am not sure, but it seems XRP created this rise or might have helped. Ethereum is still strong than XRP, I don't think Ethereum even if surpassed by other coins will be far behind for long.

It's already back at where it was with Ethereum on the 2nd place. There is already quite a MC gap between the two, so I don't think that "dethroning" will happen anytime soon again. Any reasons for Ripple's huge gain?

Ripple is now the 2nd coin in the total valuation of available coins.
Ethereum lost it's 2nd position which it was holding for years.

it was long and long ago i do not think that soemone will believe that such cryptodurrency likeripple will beat ethereum even for a while

well it does not make ethereum less desireble in the cruptocurrency world i do not think tajt yere is a man who would refuse this cryptocurrency

This change of position is only temporary in my opinion. Ethereum is slowly pumping now and if it continue it's trend for at least one week, it could get it's position easily. The thing with Ripple is, it is not decentralized and somehow they could manipulate it whenever they want.

I think this is only temporary.
In a few weeks it can look quite different again.
But it is still frightening how a centralized system like ripple makes it to #2.

I think there will follow others big movement in Ripple because this coin has caught everyone attention and it's prefered to ETH by many financial institutions.
However I think that Ethereum is still alive and not dead and will recover soon.

I'm shocked! By this time ripple had gone down back to third place, but it was really sudden. It was obviously a pump. I hope that ethereum will recover and consolidate its position in the near future.

Dethroning ETH on its second place is just a temporary thing it was just a hype and it will be back to normal anytime soon. XRP is the bank's choice and corporate's choice in terms of cryptocurrency support but ETH and BTC is still the number one choice among the rest.

That made a news all over the world when XRP replaced ETH for a while.

But as for checking the CMC again, ETH is back to #2 and XRP to #3. At least it was able to get to #2 but I guess the ETH bloomers are back again. Is this really the sign that we are going on a bull run until the end of the year? Its more interested if this is the bull run than looking at the rally of these two.
