Bitcoin had appeared countless of times on numerous occassions concerning prices, legalities and other aspects of the mainstream news, but that publicity didn't do much for the said cryptocurrency. It faced several criticisms (bitcoin) on different governments and people still didn't care. Perhaps there really isn't any incentive for them to use it and no reason for them to do so. Only a few places to use and not much in store for users? No interest generated no matter how much publicity bitcoin produces.

Yep there is no real marketing for Bitcoin, corporations and companies have a team exclusively dedicated to marketing their product so everybody hears its good parts and uses it. Bitcoin doesn't have any of this, leaving the media free to say whatever they want, which happens to be whatever is the most attention grabbing (usually bad news!).

Indeed, this is what happens because we know the legality of crypto currencies all over the world has not been fully done and it all makes crypto currencies do not look so real but I am sure that if the legality problem is recognized, the whole world will certainly be able to get functions like real currencies.

Truly, a good marketing campaign can leave a good impression for bitcoin utilization, if we only talk about using it as a payment system.

Surely people will appreciate how much easy it is to use bitcoin, and for that, we have the brave exchanges to thank for.  A lot of exchanges out there are bettering themselves in terms of services being offered. As we progress further with the concept of cryptocurrencies, the more society will realize the benefits of having a digital currency.  Some could lead by example –show them how it’s done, so to speak. I personally think that a huge number of people are using bitcoin to launder black money, so, KYC and AML is a big issue. Also, you are right about their ignorance about the whole crypto thing.

The best marketing you could possibly provide is actually using Bitcoin and asking merchants to accept it. We've reached a point where traditional marketing can't really affect adoption much because everyone has already been introduced to it one way or another. What most of them don't know is that it's more than just an "investment"; that's the area where we need to fill them in.

As an added point, I feel that billboards, commercials, etc. can very easily backfire because it would feed into the ponzi mentality. People who spend money on this stuff are inevitably going to have their motives questioned, and the line between marketing for adoption and for driving prices up could blur for the general public.
